I finally demanded to be discharged
Never again. Sat the ER for nearly 7 hours. I was brought back fairly quickly but then completely ignored. Took 2 hours before anyone came to see me. A doctor came and talked with me about symptoms and action plan. I still had not received an IV, even though part of my reason for being there was dehydration. Shortly after someone came to bring me for an ultrasound. On the walk there she explained they were going to look for gallstones. Great, except I informed them at intake that I had my gallbladder removed. Brought me back, finally placed an IV. Was taken for a CT and then sat in a patient waiting room for 4 hours without being checked on once. Many nurses walked by the room. My IV sat empty for 3 hours.

I was surrounded by incompetence
The worst experience I've ever had at any hospital during my recovery from cervical fusion. I was surrounded by incompetence. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone they're already half empty and should be closed down completely

Just sickening!!
I get they can get busy but they don't need to be rude and ignore the patients they get paid to care for. This place has the rudest nurses I've ever delt with! There is this one nurse on the 7th floor who is absolutely appalling and must hate her life! I was asking her questions about my mom's care and she was so freaking rude, huff and puffed when I asked her any questions and acted like I was bothering her. Gave me very short answers and was very rude to my mother when I wasn't here with her.She wouldn't come in to help her to the bathroom. I can go on and on! This place is just horrible! I will never bring any of my family members back to this hospital.

My father died here in the waiting room
I'm not sure how any reviews can ever say this was a good hospital. You'd be better off dying than going to this hospital. My father died here in the waiting room and my ex used to work here walking the floor on her phone all day long, good use of her hours. I've never met a person that's had any kind of good care from this hospital. Do yourself a favor and find another er or hospital to go to to even if it's an extra drive.

Our experience at this hospital has been terrible
My mother was brought in due to extreme dehydration. None of the doctors have given clear explanations as to her condition. The nurse care that she is receiving has been hit and miss. On several occasions nobody was very responsive to help her to the bathroom. And don’t bother contacting the community manager. They don’t return phone calls. Contact the Illinois department of public health and send formal complaint. I am.

Came by ambulance and left in a wheelchair in the lobby for 11hrs
I was brought in by ambulance and was left in a wheelchair in the lobby for 11hrs minus the 5 min they took me in the back to get blood and the 15 minutes they took me for a CT scan. I had an iv put in while in the ambulance that was very painful I asked the nurse at the desk if she would please look at it which she told me she would but never did. 5hrs later when I went for my Ct scan the lady did fix it for me. I had to have someone from my family bring me a bottle of water. My phone died and I asked if someone could please charge my phone for 10 minutes so when I finally got released I could call for a ride home to which I was told no I could use the emergency phone, which would of been great if had anyone's number that would be awake at 1am.

I'll be reporting to the state board
I was denied a 30 second conversation for pain relief for absolutely no reason. For 10 HOURS. And the initial night nurse in ICU was disrespectful, mocking and mean. I'll be reporting to the state board.
