Scripps Memorial was the worst hospital I've every been at in san diego.
Admitted my relative with a broken neck and advanced Parkinsons disease, dementia and delirium. They admitted they forgot his dementia and delirium medicine for 3 days in a row, he went through extreme withdraws (he was on it for 20+ years) cut cold turkey and the nurses responded "while thats just parkinsons". No, it isn't normal to have seizures in a hospital and not do anything. Then, they added a drug while cutting the dose of a different drug in half (also on for 10+ years) at the same time! They then forgot his parkinsons medicine as well for 3 doses. I believe if he stayed, they would have killed him due to neglect and malpractice. Added a medicine that caused increased dementia/delirium, cut his muscle relaxer in half, while fully forgetting his Parkinsons medicine all within 4 days at the same time. Biggest issue, THEY DIDN'T TELL ANYONE IN FAMILY ABOJT ALL THE MEDICATION CHANGES AND MESS UPS! They looked like deer in the headlights and had no clue it was happening when I showed up to him having seizures. Picture showing neglect that they don't change bloody ports for liquids or check to make sure they are working correctly. Don't check medicines and try to release people way to early to get them out. You can't change 3 variables and expect to know why something happened and then act on it. Then, they blamed Parkinsons for their neglect and malpractice when seizures occur. This place will kill you with that philosophy and blame other factors. They will kill you because of neglect and malpractices.
