I am very disappointed with this ER
My mother in law was in MVC and was in so much pain. Her nurse came by, got vitals, then left and we never saw her again. I had to track down the APRN for pain meds. My mother in law was just wanting Tylenol because she didn’t want to be a bother even though she was crying in pain. Finally after 3 hrs, a different nurse came with discharge paperwork and pain medication. As a healthcare worker, I was very disappointed in the lack of communication and attentiveness. I understand they have to triage people and such, but please don’t forget about the people in MVC.

I do not recommend this hospital
I had surgery in July. With this particular surgery the usual stay is 2 nights and 3 days. I ended up staying 5 days, 6 nights. If the nurses took me seriously about my pains and concerns, I don’t feel like I would have had to stay double the usual time. I had to beg the nurse to do something about chest pain. Sounds silly, but I almost called 911 for chest pain. The pain was bad, and no one acted on it. This nurse didn’t even want to give me a hot pack for the chest pain. She said the pain was ‘deeper than that’, but didn’t do anything else to help. Finally, the doctor ordered a medicine after doing a CT scan to help inflammation after surgery. The night nurse ‘didn’t feel comfortable’ giving the non narcotic to me, and stated she didn’t have a charge nurse to help her. After my mom told her to ask a supervisor or call the pharmacy to inform her on the medicine, she walked out. I was suffering with no sleep for 48 hours 2 days post op. The nurses need to be more informed. Also, when throwing up a pink tinged color over and over night all day and night a patient does not want to hear, ‘it’s a slow process, or my daughter went through the same thing.’ No, do something to help your patient. The Worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. The only compassion I received was from house keeping/dietary. I had a horrible experience at this hospital.
