Disregarded our concerns, questions and painful decisions as if we didn't matter
Our mother was a dialysis-dependent patient with a history of heart failure who was admitted to this hospital for care on May 8,2026. During her stay, she was transferred to the ICU and later intubated and in critical condition, requiring maximum doses of norepinephrine and vasopressin. Despite being in your hospital for four days in an incredibly grave condition, not once did a physician meet with our family to provide a medical update, discuss her prognosis, or guide us through her care options. We asked several times to speak with a physician for an update on her condition and on the last day we were there they sent out a Dr. who was just coming on shift who knew nothing of our mothers condition and those were the first words that came out of his mouth. "I am not familiar with your mothers condition, I would need a few days to be able to update you on what is going on medically with her and what her condition is". Although it had been a few days that she was in the ICU. That should of been the job of the attending physician to update us on her condition and her prognosis. They failed miserably. Why would you send a physician to speak with the family if he doesn't know the patient history?? He could not answer any of the critical questions we had. So as a family we decided what we thought was best for her. We are beyond disappointed in this hospital and the medical staff (ICU doctors).
