I will be telling everyone about this experience
My Mother in Law was there this past week. First she is 93. After they did the procedure they didn’t wait till her family was there and was telling her what they found, she also wears a hearing aid and it wasn’t on after the procedure. But this is what is really disgusting she was still out of it with the drugs they used, their billing dept comes into her room to ask for money. HOW DISGUSTING, your ceo makes over 5 million a year, and if you are that money hungry stop building hospitals. This isn’t the first time I dealt with problems with this hospital. Deal with the insurance companies. Train your staff. You guys are the worst and should be ashamed of yourself.

Don’t go to AdventHealth East Orlando
If you’re sick, the ER will assume you’re a drug addict. Smh. (And yes, I’m a young black person. I bet they wouldn’t have treated me so badly if i weren’t.) Been passing out, falling, throwing up, etc for the past 3 days now, and they’ve sent me back twice bc I’m “not actively dying” (literally their words). Asked me at least three times each visit if I had done drugs. One of the nurses tried to lie to the doctor and say that the EMTs found me on the street (I called 911 myself from my bedroom before I could no longer talk and became catatonic). His name is possibly Danca or Zanca. Something like that. They even asked me twice in a row if I tried to kms. They did a dry CT and some lab work and didn’t see anything, so they sent me home. Even though the EMT guys said it looked like I had a seizure and I also have family history on both sides of strokes as early as mid-20s, as well as diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and nerve damage to my legs with a unknown cause. They finally decided to try and convince me that it’s my testosterone causing everything before sending me home yesterday.

It was awful to say the least
I was hospitalize for 5 days. All the nurses did the same. You ask for something and they all say yes with a smile on their faces, they just never do or returned or even had another nurse do assist. Also, rude to the max !! If you are in a lot of pain the last thing you need when you are finally a sleep is a nurse come in and kick the bed bottom board to wake you up. Stop this practice, I hate it and I been getting this from this hospital and others for 25 years now, stop acting like barbarians!!

The worst hospital experience I’ve ever had
The doctors never kept me informed as to when my surgery was supposed to happen. I finally had no choice but to leave. They also refused to accept my input about my ongoing diabetes treatment which I’ve had to deal with for 25yrs. I will never ever go back there!!

As a physician I watch as they grossly mismanaged my aunt
The treatment in the hospital is terrible. Patients are grossly mismanaged at least my aunt was. I know this because I am a doctor myself. They do not follow protocols, they do not assess or evaluate patients, they do not counsel the patient’s family. Neither do they take suggestions nor do they inform or update or tell them the plan of action. They barely come out to meet the family also. They don’t even talk to other doctors from the patient’s family even when requested as a professional courtesy. I would not be this upset if they were at least treating the patient adequately. It is frustrating to know how the patient is not getting the right treatment and yet not be able to do anything about it.

Did not fully assess me after auto accident
I went here as a patient after being in an auto accident to be evaluated after I hit my head and the APRN Linda Kay literally seen me for 5 minutes if then and only check my eyes and ears. She did not fully assess me at all. She was supposed to give me medication but didn’t. After hitting your head in a really bad car accident you’re supposed to be fully assessed just to see if there is anything internal going on because things can pop up later. She did not take my height or weight instead she asked me which is not fully assessing a patient. She seemed to be rushing. Honestly I’ve been in an accident before and was assessed way better than this. After working for advent health I know how they are and how they handle these cases, honestly horrible.

If you want to live don't go to Advent Orlando East
I was given a medication IV that should not be given to elderly. I am 74. I was confused disorientated babbling incoherently. In a state of severe confusion I was forced a MRI 3 times because they said I uncooperative. I regurgitated in Scan. I then went into a coma for 3 days due to neurotoxicity. Then a Covid + individual was brought into my room not 6 inches from my bed. Now with pneumonia I have Covid if you want to live don't go to Advent Orlando East.

"Are you dying sir?"
ER manager on duty (5/18/23) told it it's NOT her problem or concern if patients that aren't dying get treated. Their "on call" list of specialists has no concern for patients insurance and again it's Not her problem if patients recommendations aren't being fulfilled because "are you dying sir". I'm glad your phone calls are recorded and you care so much about your patients health.

Missed opportunity to treat stroke after stroke alert cancelled
5 am: I am an attorney and my relative Joshua S presented to the ED sometime before 3pm yesterday for “numbness that might be a stroke”. He was sent over from an urgent treatment center to the ED complaining of numbness on one side of the body. He has a history of diabetes and hypertension. The stroke alert was called and the patient was left waiting on a head scan for more than 4 hours. Fibrinolytic (clot-busting) therapy was never administered within the 4-hour time frame as is the standard of care since the stroke alert was cancelled. Over the next hours, some family members are going to try to touch bases with the physician in charge of his care while others will be seeking answers of the hospital administration. It is unacceptable that a patient with a stroke does not get the proper treatment as per standard of care. More to follow.
