After my insurance gave Novant a few thousand dollars, they still managed to bill me
$1800 for a rabies shot (I needed 3 shots, you do the math). After it was all said and done, insurance covered everything. Great. Then I received a random bill for $418 in the mail. Novant took a week to respond to my inquiry and after a series of messages they couldn't tell me what it was for. I didn't talk to anybody in that hospital for longer than 5 minutes.

I am appalled at how much the service has gone down hill at this facility
This used to be my facility of choice but that is going to have to change. There does not seem to be any team work amongst team members at the front desk in the ER. Shift change happened and the tech that was assigned to triage came out the double doors and went straight into a room (AMS028) she did not make her self know to anyone. The last shift tech was waiting for her relief and she had to find her. Unacceptable. She stayed hidden for a whole 30 minutes like her shift starts at 7:30. The first shift stood at the front desk and gossiped about team members. Unacceptable.

Terrible place
On Aug 10 after midnight I received a call saying my son passed out at work. His friend took him to the closest hospital. This one. I met them there about 1 am. When I got there my son was in the lobby with a blanket on his head. The whole time we were there the nurses were very loud talking about dates and drama in their lives. We sat out there til roughly almost 3 am. Some finally came to get to tell us we will be on a cot at the nurses station. On three occasions we heard a young woman come out and said room 9 is clean, room 10 is clean and room 11 is clean. Ever time they put someone else in the room. People walked back and forth passed us and never said a word. We sat there til 5 o’clock until we decided to go to another hospital. We got to atrium by 5:10. By 5:15 he was in a room. Five minutes later he had an IV. By 5:30 he had X-rays and an ekg. Immediately when that was done he was given pain meds and fluids for dehydration and had blood drawn the doctor had been in his room twice and the area was quiet. They were quick and attentive. Very professional. If at the first hospital someone had stopped to say anything it would have made a difference. We didn’t expect to be first. We just didn’t expect to be completely ignored.

I will be taking further action against this emergency department
DO NOT come here even if you’re on deaths door. My husband came in with excruciating level 10, can’t walk can’t speak pain, they triaged, causally, no sense of urgency. Had us wait publicly in the waiting room for 2 hours with no end in sight. He is in this waiting room in clear agony, no one offered any help, I’m asking, following up and honestly they couldn’t care less that he’s screaming in pain. We had strangers coming by giving prayers saying we should take him to another hospital because of his pain. Even saying it might be something serious that could burst. The lack of care is appalling at best. We left after 2 full hours just waiting, not even in the back, not even being seen by a doctor. Absolutely deplorable behavior by the staff. The last time we were there a day prior, they even misdiagnosed him at that. We went to Lake Normal Regional Medical Center and within 20 minutes of arrival we had a room, were seen by a doctor and had pain managed.

I’m beyond pissed!!
Came in with EXTREME pain . My chest was super heavy told them my pain level was a 9! I asked for water . They refused to give me that and told me to wait for the doctor . I sat in that medical room for over an HOUR ! It kept getting more crowded and crowded . These workers have no sense of urgency , no compassion for people on a near death experience . Literally at this point I would be convinced that someone will literally die in their waiting room because they just let people sit out there with no urgency at all . I will NEVER !!!! & I mean NEVER be back at this location . They suck ! & I hope every single nurse and doctor in there gets SICK & DIE ! & encounter someone just like themselves! Literally I would’ve gave them 0 if I could !!

My husband showed up to his room after surgery reeling in pain
I asked the ccna and pushed the nurses button. After over 30 minutes nothing and no one at the nurses station. What kind of hospital did we come to! If I wasn’t here he’d be alone in pain with no nurses or aides after surgery! Think twice before you come here!

Terrible place not a place for sick people
Short-handed every where and in need of some training and bedside manner and temperament.

The ABSOLUTE worst healthcare Ive experienced
If you want to live in an emergency go somewhere else. Came in with severe abdominal pain and sat in ER room unchecked for 2 hours. Only reason someone ever came in was because I finally rang the call bell several times and then half hr later nurse came in.

Don't have your baby here
Please save yourself the heartbreak. This is one of a woman's most vulnerable time in their life. Should be the happiest but was NOT. Go somewhere that you matter.
