Terrible place not a place for sick people
Short-handed every where and in need of some training and bedside manner and temperament.

The ABSOLUTE worst healthcare Ive experienced
If you want to live in an emergency go somewhere else. Came in with severe abdominal pain and sat in ER room unchecked for 2 hours. Only reason someone ever came in was because I finally rang the call bell several times and then half hr later nurse came in.

The front desk receptionist are rude and they obviously don't have enough help. I hate this hospital

Don't have your baby here
Please save yourself the heartbreak. This is one of a woman's most vulnerable time in their life. Should be the happiest but was NOT. Go somewhere that you matter.

I had the worst labor and delivery experience in this hospital.
I had the worst labor and delivery experience in this hospital. Was told repeatedly that I was not in active labor and that they could not alleviate labor pains in any way because I was only 38wks pregnant and could only intervene when active labor started. I was told what my pain level was and was ignored when I stated it was well over a 10 and different than my other labor experiences, I have since learned that this is because I was having back labor. At one point they said we could stay in triage a bit longer if we wanted and my husband responded by saying he was not taking me home in my condition as he knew we were clearly in labor. After being there for two hours the nurse checked me again said I was unchanged, my husband at that point demanded for our doctor who is an Atrium Provider, our provider walked in and saw that I was clearly in an intense active labor and my daughter was delivered 28 minutes later medication free. The nursing staff rushed me to a delivery room and dropped my legs to the floor when taking apart the bed in their rush to deliver my "non-active" labor. I have already complained to Novant Patient Advocacy and received a letter back stating what was charted for the night by the same incompetent nurses and the letter I received expressed their apologies for how I feel but that they gave good care. Atrium health should remove their services from this hospital as it is dangerous for their patients and does not represent the quality care they stand for. This shouldn't happen to another woman and thankfully I remained healthy and so did our baby.
