I’m truly disappointed with the staff at this hospital, it’s very unprofessional
We were warned not to come here but My fiance was seen at the advent health ER and unfortunately we had no choice but to be here. we sat in the room for about 4hrs before anyone ever came into the room to introduce themselves. We called for the nurse 3 times and no one ever came. I went out to the nurses station to find someone and it’s literally a ghost town. I can hear people laughing in a back room. Not only that, when the nurses walk by you can hear them talking bad about their patients calling them lazy. We are on the 6th floor and truly no one cares about their job here. They don’t even deserve a 1 star.

Please don't risk your health by going to Advent Health
Please don't go here if you care about your health! I went in, was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, lost part of my foot, but still left with the infection & ended up at a different hospital, Tampa General, where I lost more of my foot. My surgeon performed 3 surgeries, with an amputation, skin flap, & skin graft. He did not get the entire infection out & as I found out from my 2nd surgeon at another hospital, he should have had me off my foot for 2 months, but he did the skin graft surgery on a Monday & had me on my feet on Saturday. The special shoe I was given wasn't even providing relief & was rubbing on the bottom of my foot where the skin graft was, so the graft failed because of his incompetence. He also has an incredibly arrogant & horrible bedside manner. He would even blame the nurses for him not putting his wound care orders, instead of taking responsibility. It took them about 3 weeks to figure out why I was still getting such bad fevers. It turns out I'm allergic to Vancomyacin. So the infectious disease doctor just took me off the medicine, even though it was the proper treatment for the infection. The 2nd hospital also gave me Vancomyacin, but just gave me benadryl in advance to reduce my allergic reaction. The internist seemed good at first, but then it became clear he wasn't actually being listening or fighting for me as his patient. They claimed they setup things like PT, my medication, & transport to appointments through their Care360, but it was all a lie. They even tried to claim I refused the service during a phone conversation 2 days after I left, which I never did. Plus instead of them just correcting things, they dug in their heals & refused the service even though I clearly needed it. I even requested a copy of the recording of that supposed conversation, but they won't provide it (which obviously is because the conversation never took place). When being discharged I needed to be admitted to some kind of nursing facility for continued care, but they didn't help me get proper care. I fought the discharge because I knew things weren't right. I even asked to speak to the patient advocate, but I never saw a patient advocate, which is a violation of my patient rights. I even told them they were discharging me to either end up right back in the hospital or dead. I was right! I knew I was right because approximately 2 weeks later I was transported by ambulance to a different hospital. I knew I couldn't trust Advent. In the ER they examined me & took x-rays, & I was proven right. The surgeon did not get all of the infection out, so it was still spreading. They also did so many additional tests, with images & pressure tests on my legs & feet to rule out additional complications. I ended up admitted at the new hospital & my new surgeon, who has a great attitude & bedside manner, performed a 4th surgery removing more of my foot. The new infectious disease doctor had an immediate solution to give me Vancomyacin, & set me up for a nursing facility to get the Vancomyacin, wound care, PT, & the care I needed for recovery.

Overall, it was a tough and unpleasant experience
I had a mixed experience at the emergency department. While the overall service was good during a difficult situation, there were some concerning issues with professionalism. Some nurses and one doctor ignored my calls multiple times, resulting in delayed responses. The doctor, in particular, seemed careless and displayed a lack of professionalism.

Walmart health is better than this place
FRIGGIN JOKE OF A HOSPITAL. They will lie to your face when it comes to keeping people informed. Rude doctors, uninformed nurses.

They forgot to put an id wrist band on the first visit
On the day of my release after my procedure they didn't take my sugar before leaving. I am an insulin dependent diabetic. When I got home and checked it it was 188.

I don’t recommend anyone be treated at Advent!
Horrible experience! My son was having immense pain in his ear along with swelling that concerned us. He was having sleepless nights and could not sit or lay properly. We decided to bring him to his primary care, and immediately after he was seen, he instructed us to take our son to the ER because he believed my son had mastoiditis and wanted us to get him a cat scan. When we arrived at Advent Health, I let them know of my sons primary care instructions. They saw my son and we’re prepping him for the cat scan, but due to the type of cat scan, it required him to have an IV. My son was very nervous about the IV and started to cry and kick. He is an 8 year old male. They seemed like they didn’t want to deal with him, refused to attempt to restrain him, and made several remarks about other kids needing to be treated, I can’t put my nurses in danger for your son, etc. I continued to explain to the nurse that the doctor requested this cat scan and they needed to assist me with restraining him. They refused and gave an excuse that they don’t want to traumatize him. I wound up going yo St. Joseph’s and explained my sons situation as well as the incident that took place at Advent Health. They laughed in shock when they we told them they refused to treat my son and explained proper protocol on children. She mentioned children do not have a say and health facilities need to work with the children by calming and comforting them. St. Joseph’s did exactly that, and my son without hesitation, fighting, kicking, and screaming took the IV. I don’t recommend anyone be treated at Advent!

I was wheeled out with my nose running with blood
Worse experience ever. I had a sinus surgery last week. After surgery when I recovered I told the nurse that I needed to use the restroom. She told me I can use it down the hall. I mentioned to her that I was feeling weak from anesthesia but she insisted that I walk because it was just down the hall. Also when checking out they gave me no gauze so I was wheeled out with my nose running with blood.

No ADA guideline were being followed
I was admitted to this facility and I spent more than 29 hours lying on a gurney in the ER!!!! I am 100 percent disabled. I got into to this room so small the bed ‘Was all that could fit and the way it was set up I could not get to the rest room. They could not locate the correct pan for a bedside commode so they put a regular bucket under it. My guest stated looked and said did your husband build you an outhouse. Never offered a shower x3 days. You have nothing really equipped for handicapped individual. I was very very upset no ADA guideline were being followed. I have requested to not be brought to your facility.
