To be honest THIS HOSPITAL is the worst I been to
I'm not a person that look for fault in places I go or a person that doing theirs best. I know every where there are short staff, but really come on. Nurse has 6 patients each and I called for a nurse at10:45 am and ask I type this at 11:35 I'm still waiting so come on really. The Dr came in and I stated my concerns, no use cause they up hold each other. Now I understand Denzel Washington in the movie Que

I almost died
Came in due to an emergency was transfered from my local hospital. I laid in the hallway for over 8 hours in excruciating pain before anyone ever saw me. The only good nurse I had was one from another floor who checked on me. Ended up having two emergency surgeries and was sent home almost dead. No pain meds and no nausea meds. Then after being home for 6 hours and had to call another ambulance. I was almost septic by the time I reached my hospital.

This is crazy
First time to st francis outpatient and admissions. Here for an anesthesiology appointment prior to surgery. Got here 15 minutes before my appointment and spent exactly one hour here waiting the majority of the time with about 30 other people going through the same process. Got picked up by preop one hour and fifty minutes after my appointment.

This hospital's low rating is true and genuine
In addition to my anxiety over my mother's surgical procedure, I was also worried about the hospital's negative reputation. Pre and postoperatively, I can honestly say they lived up to the poor performance reviews. It was said that she would be hospitalized for four to five days, during which time a physical therapist would visit to make sure she could walk. She was out in a day and a half, and no one ever guaranteed her mobility. My mother's mobility is severely impaired!!!! Because she must hold up her stomach to endure the pain, she is not utilizing her hands to walk with a cane, we have to hold onto her. There were additional staffing issues during her brief stay; however, we are fortunate to have family members who are employed in the healthcare field who resolved the situation. I am sickened by the thought of inadequate treatment the doctors and nurses are administering to patients who lack family or social support. Keep in mind that you always have the ability to make decisions in regard to your care. In any event, it is recommended to avoid Sinner Francis.

Shame on them ….
My father was here over a month and unfortunately passed away . The nurses on the 5th floor was horrible. They never came and checked on the patients and you would request a nurse and have to wait sometimes a hour . Someone stayed with my father every night because he was in heart failure and very weak and could not feed himself . The one night we left which was the last night he was there and we told him we would be back in the afternoon however he passed. His heart has stopped beating and they had to call his nurse to tell her to get in there because his heat was no longer beating . I was on the way back up there cause he was not answering his phone and then my mother called me and said the doctor called her and said he was in cardiac arrest . When I went in his room all his trays were up against the wall on the table and they had not fed him or anything . I truly believe my father got so upset he went into cardiac arrest because he was already in heart failure .I just wish I would of not went home to shower and stayed the night and he would still be here . You would call for a nurse and they would never come then go out on the hallway and they are all standing around the desk talking and laughing. They knew my father could not call for them not could he feed himself and when I went on his room his breakfast and lunch tray was in his room and they did not even make sure he ate. I would never go back to this hospital for the simple fact of how these nurses are . It is so sad and my dad had been hospitalized several times but this was the first time he ever had went to Saint Francis and it was absolutely the worst . They need to get all new nurses in the 5th floor because those nurses are the absolute worst . The ICU nurses were very good just the 5th floor was a complete eyeopener and made me realize some of these nurses are just there for a check and could care less about the patients . I would never recommend this hospital and they need to get all new nurses on the 5th floor and need some humanity skills and need to have a policy on place as to how often they check on a patient . It’s so sad to me that someone had to call the nurse and tell her to go in my fathers room because he was in cardiac arrest . Shame on these nurses and I pray I would never be at their mercy . Please reevaluate all these nurses on the 5th floor and do better . They stand in the hallway having kitchen meetings laughing and going on and do not check on patient's they left my dad in there and did.not check on him and I know that is what caused him to get so upset and go into cardiac arrest . Do better . These nurses need to be fired because they don’t care about their job or the patient's . Saint Francis needs undercover boss on the fifth floor so they can see for themself and see what they are actually paying the nurses for.

I am currently back at this hospital! I am currently here!
This is a review from January 3, 2025! They have put me in with drawl’s because they refuse to give me the current pain medication I am on which has sent me into sign of withdrawal. I am currently in pain management. I take narcotics which a person cannot just stop cold turkey, or one will become sick! I guess this hospital doesn’t know this. I have been here going on four days and now have diarrhea and throwing up. It is pitiful that they would rather this happen than help a person! Also the response the hospital gave below was a lie they did not want to discuss a thing with me I called. The problem is the hospitalist Dr. T refuses to give narcotics even if a person has been on them over a year like myself. I am assuming he never learn that forcing a person to stop certain medications can cause greater harm than just following the current doctors orders! I begged not to come here!!

When you call for a nurse they would show up 1.5 to 2 hours later.
If you are supposed to be receiving medication at specific times they show up with it 2 or more hours later with it. The night I was admitted there was a elderly lady sitting on the edge of her bed yelling for help to get her pants on with no response from the nurses and she was across from the nurses station. Whenever a nurse would come to your room they would always leave the door open. People were constantly and excessively loud even at 11:30 pm. The patient’s are not shown any respect from any nurses. They have a total lack of communication between all staff. It takes a long time to get any information about your case from anyone. The gastro Dr told me that he would be doing a procedure on me the put in the notes on my chart he wanted me sent to another facility for the procedure because he didn’t have the experience to do the procedure.
This hospital (it’s supposed to be) is more of a bad joke than anything. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone for anything.

They ran this hospital into the ground badly
If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would after the experience I had from the charge nurse being on duty being rude & trying to speak to my family member so rudely like we had to take that. Bedside manners are terrible, gossiping, no work being done and everyone just sitting around.
