This is probably one of the most useless hospitals
My grandma was in the hospital for three weeks and they gave her no answers for any of her problems and she came out in worse condition than she went in. She is unable to walk without falling because they only let her use the bedside commode When she was in the hospital because no one would come to take her to the bathroom and she had multiple accidents on herself, waiting for someone to come get her. She was also not supposed to be left by herself when she went to the bathroom because she was unsteady on her feet and she had a nurse leave her in the bathroom by herself For three hours and never came back. They also recommended for her to just go to hospice because it would be easier.

Accountability is absolutely $hit
Do not come here, they severely messed up the nerve in my left arm when drawing blood and left me with lasting affects. The action was not documented anywhere by anyone.

Communication was lacking between departments and my wife suffered for it
My wife’s fistula was clogged and took her into Audubon’s ER. They confirmed it was clogged and took IR would do fistulagram to clear it that day. Then told they would wait until next day. On Saturday, was told IR doesn't do fistulagrams on the weekend. They would do it Monday. Was told they would be doing a tunnel chest catheter on Saturday. So my wife was on NPO all day. At supper time, was told it wasn't happening until Sunday. They finally brought her a tray. Said the catheter would be first thing Sunday morning and be ready at 6:40. NPO again. Didn't happen until after 9:30. Then Monday did hologram to prepare for fistula gram. It revealed that that the fistulagram wouldn't work. The vascular surgeon would come in for a consult about surgery option. No consult. Tuesday was told she would be released after dialysis treatment was finished at 3:15. She would have to call surgeon and make appointment to have consult in his office. During dialysis, they decided you do an echo on my wife’s heart. She could leave after the report. The report was read at 6:00pm (per mychart). My wife’s nurse couldn't get result until 8:00pm. So I took my wife’s belongings to the car and came back to get her. Suddenly, they said they were not releasing her that night even though her discharge papers had been signed. I had to insist her IV be pulled and that we were leaving. Never gad be had such horrible treatment.

One of the Top 3 worst experiences at a hospital
My sister and I were here for 8 hours yesterday. We were waiting for her to get an actual bed for 5 hours. She was in pain, as person after person went into the back before her, which could be forgiven if they were sent right back out everytime just as she was. 75% of the nurses we did interact with were downright unpersonable, literally spoke to us like we were incompetent or burdening them with our presence and that was concerning to me. Some nurses were kind, and bless them as there were definitely patients who were not being kind, nor co-operative. I will say, once we did go back it was so confusing as to what was going on. One nurse unhooked my sister so she could go to the restroom, and when she came back once she had finished, she didnt hook her up to her IV again. They kept saying the doc or practitioner would come in again but they never did, and we were left for a while without my sister getting her IV reconnected. Funny enough, when the nurse stated she was being discharged she had time to check back in two more times within 15 minutes and never once reconnected her IV. My sister stated it felt as if she literally hated being AROUND actual patients and was trying to do the least amount of interaction as possible. Lastly, a nurse walked in and literally started listing off the symptoms of another patient and what issues she came in with ect. Now, this may not be a HIPAA violation but it's downright weird and something I've never experienced. Either way, please do not come to this hospital if you can help it. I think the nurses are frustrated, and maybe rightfully so because of understaffing.

That was my first visit to Audubon and it will be my last
My daughter was here for a week ; ER and ICU were beyond amazing. She was transferred to the Med Surge floor and she was treated horrible. Nurses were beyond rude. To the point I thought about calling the board. I ended up asking for a different nurse and she was not any better.

NO ONE showed my doctor my directive
The surgery team refused to let me call my doctor's office right before surgery to remind him that I'm the weirdo patient who doesn't feel pain. The surgical nurse stated that, if I wrote that on the surgery documents, my wishes would be met. I wrote "NO PAIN MEDICATIONS unless I am awake, coherent and specifically ASK for them"....Later My doctor had to yell at the recovery nurse after asking nicely to remove that MORPHINE DRIP. I had been given at least SIX DOSES of morphine and Dilaudid! Thank goodness he's an A+ surgeon!

Very disappointed
My daughter had to return to ER due her extremely painful headache. After triage we waited for practitioner for one hour. Then for the rude nurse Madeline to administer medication another hour. No one ever came to check on her for two hours.

I think they need to take "emergency" out of emergency room
Your wait will be 4-10 hour. Now, they do take your vitals when you walk in . I guess to start charging the insurance company.

Hospital has gone from great to a joke
Went because my doctor sent me due to double vision and right eye not moving. Was triaged immediately then put back in waiting room for 2 hours. Once in the ER was put in a recliner in the hallway. MRI, CT scan and CT angiograms done, labs. First ER doctor tells me I had a stroke and put in a neuro consult. Waited over 2 hours then neuro tells me no stroke, issue is with eye, see an Opthomologist. My BP was never taken after triage. Sent home diagnosis "double vision". Saw Opthomologist next day, 6th nerve palsy, he couldn't believe ER didn't pick it up from MRI.
