This place is a nightmare.
I would not recommend anyone stay there. My mom had surgery late afternoon last Thursday. They have a TV screen that you can view for updates however it is not always accurate. The waiting area receptionist left around 6:30pm-ish and no one else came to cover the area. After the surgery was completed at 7:27pm, I received a text message (see photo) that she was in recovery and updates were to follow. At 7:40pm the surgeon called to inform me that all was well and that someone will update me on when I can see her. No one ever came to get me. Security saw me sitting there for hours and finally asked me why I was there. When I explained to him that the TV screen never updated that she was out of recovery nor did I receive an updated text message with instructions. He then took me to PACU and explained to them why I was there and I was finally able to see my mom. I immediately told the person in the room in charge of her care that I’ve been waiting on the lobby for hours why wasn’t I told that she was out of recovery and that I could visit her. It was now after 9pm he claimed that he didn’t know I was still there and it was hectic then apologized. I explained to him that someone came out 1 time to ask my name but they were for another patients family and no one ever came. He looked on her documents and saw my name and read my phone number to me and claimed that he would call me when she received a room. I never received a call of her obtaining a room. The next day, I reached the hospital before 11am and my mom was still in the PACU. I immediately spoke with the person taking care of her and asked why wasn’t she given a room, she stated that the hospital was full and there were no rooms available. She would have to wait until a room was available. My mom had dried yogurt all over her face, her hair was matted with blood and she didn’t have her glasses on I asked why didn’t any one clean her or give her the glasses. I immediately started to clean my mom face and hair. I even asked for something to wipe her down with. After I was done, then the woman decided to look and say oh there’s nothing here to clean. I said of course not, you watched me clean her up. I’m the PACU you can only visit for 5 minutes. So I then went into the lobby and proceeded to visit her every hour for the allotted 5 minutes until she received a room. The person watching over her continued to advise me to get lunch and she would call when a room was ready. I did not leave. While waiting in the waiting room the reception told me that patients who received surgery after my mom received a room before she did. She apologized for the wait and said it probably was a mistake somewhere. Finally after 4pm I was given the room number to meet my mom upstairs. When I located the room that they were going to clean for my mom which was located right in front of the nurses desk there was a patient still in a hospital gown standing in the doorway who I could visibly see whom suffered from mental issues and possible drug abuse. The patient was trying to put her walker (the one with the seat) on top of a wheelchair. The nurses in charged could not handle the patient, she was aggressive and cursed them all out. She refused to get dressed and leave the room. I immediately asked to speak with a supervisor, the person cleaning directed me to social services whom was standing watching the scene. I explained that my mom had spine surgery and she could not room with that patient. When my mom was finally brought to the floor I asked the person transporting her to leave her in the hallway because the assigned room was not safe. 3 different employees came to ask what was the issue meanwhile they are all taking turns trying to calm this other patient down. They eventually had to call security just to get her out the room and to the end of the hallway.

My postpartum experience here left me quite upset
I don't want to give birth at this hospital ever again, and I don't want other mothers to come here either. My postpartum experience here was highly disappointing and the experience really left me quite upset, even now still thinking about it a few months later. I rarely saw the attending doctors the first day I was there though. You’ll see the PA’s more frequently. Had a really incompetent postpartum nurse right after delivery who didn’t have good bedside manner. The worst part of this whole experience. SHARED POSTPARTUM ROOMS. That’s right, SHARED. Which would not be so bad if they were spacious, but nope! They didn’t even have enough space to fit the SINK in the same room as the toilet. Again, you’re reading that correctly, the sink was next to the door entrance. There was no hand washing sink INSIDE the bathroom. So after you pee or poop in the bathroom, you cannot wash your hands and so you touch the door handle to get out, CROSS THE WHOLE ROOM to reach the sink. Not only is that disgusting, it’s unsanitary especially in a postpartum room that is shared between 2 new moms, their companions, and newborn babies. Oh also, housekeeping? Never came through my L&D room or the postpartum room. So trash cans were overflowing, toiletries were never restocked. Nobody came to clean the bathrooms over the course of several days. Sanitation is clearly very low priority. I requested to be discharged early, that's how uncomfortable I was. We left past midnight because I was incapable of properly resting and recovering in those conditions.

Very unfortunate and a bad experience of the entire hospital
I came here because I had passed out and I had other chronic symptoms and the doctor was extremely unkind and unhelpful. Doctor Yen Pon-Hsiu asked me “why are you crying?” “Why are you even here?” And was extremely dismissive towards me after a very serious incident and made me feel very bad during my entire visit with a terrible bedside manner. The nurses were very kind, but the rest was bad because of this doctor and her treatment.

I was scared for my life at this hospital
Do not come to this hospital, especially if it’s an emergency. I came in due to chest and arm pain and barely got acknowledged. There don’t seem to be enough staff and no one really keeps track of patients. I waited an hour for an EKG and another few hours to finally see a doctor despite constantly feeling chest and arm pain.

DO NOT give your jewelry to any employee that work at the hospital
Writing this on behalf of my Mother. Note to all Patients that need X-ray perform on them. Any jewelry you may have on, DO NOT give them to any employee that work at the hospital. Once you remove your jewelry don't allow them to walk away with them. Once the hospital employee walks away with them you may not get them back. This is what happened to my Mother. The X-ray technician walked away with them and after the exam her earrings were not returned to her. The technician was Hispanic looking, light fair skinned, female and had long jet black curly hair. We did speak to five employees and a supervisor which did not provide a solution to the situation. The Supervisor attempted to assure me that NONE of the employees would not keep any items lost or not returned to the patients. Point of the matter don't trust anyone one even if they are in hospital clothes. They are there to do a job NOT be trust worthy.

Would not recommend for delivery
I delivered my son here, as we lived down the street. I loved my doctor, but would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL
My mother was in and out of consciousness in an emergency room without anyone seeing her for 30 MINUTES. She called me and told me this so I asked at the front desk to get someone to see her multiple times but it took me yelling at the front desk to get an IV on her 45 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. If you want your friends and family to die this is the perfect place.

Billed my insurance $50,000 for what again?
I went to the ER back in June & July. I had a Gallstone that was blocking my Pancreas & they saw it bc I did a cat scan. Then never gave me anything for the pain & they billed my insurance $50,000 & it wasn't worth it. Then the Dr said to me that I should've went to a hospital that was affiliated with my Primary Dr. That was the worst thing a Dr ever said & I found it to be very unprofessional.

I wish I had the energy to sue them after delivery
This is the worst place on planet to deliver a kid. I developed Hematoma and infection because of their lack of attention and I didn’t have any energy to fight. Prior to putting me in C section ward, they told me I’m only 2 cms dilated. Once I was in C section ward, I heard them talking amongst themselves that she is 8 cms dilated. I had the worst experience of my life delivering here. I also developed an infection here. When I asked Anesthesiologist twice if having an epidural will lead me to C section, she yelled at me and said “How many times I told you no”. She literally yelled at me. They poked me for IV at least 100 times because their faulty machine kept on beeping. They will get bad karma for spoiling my memorable moments in life and scaring me so much. When my husband tried to talk, they shut him up when they clearly knew I had no energy to talk.
