Shame on you and your staff U of M West!
My father came to the facility via an emergency situation. He was very sick and had to be transported to the ICU. He stayed for 21 days. He became septic due to lack of infection control and pure laziness. Didn’t even have the decency to wash their hands after the fact. This is a teaching hospital where I had to guide the care for my dad. Being a nurse for 10 years was my saving grace in this situation. My dad had delayed treatment due to arrogant nurses and Drs. To make matters worse he was left with an unstageable wound to his bottom that they didn’t tell me about despite me calling and checking on my dad twice a day. His dialysis line became infected henced that’s where he became septic from. They didn’t tell me that part neither, until I pulled up. You get great care if loved one is at the bedside. I wish they could get no stars. The lack of compassion and empathy from the staff, scares me for the future. I just expected the nurses to be nurses. They caused more damage than he came with, then pushed him out the door.

I realistically had the worst visit
The staff definitely racially profiled and pick and choose how they want to talk to people based on the color of their skin. I also feel as thought the hospital give anybody a job who don't really have a passion for helping people. Even if the passion is there they pick and choose who to be passionate with. The rooms are always half cleaned. I highly don't recommend

Absolutely Horrible Hospital
My son need a catheter put in and it took them three times to put it in. We get home and need the empty the bag and they installed it upside down and had to return for them to fix it this is the last time we will ever go to this hospital on top of mis diagnosis!

They never sent me a packet saying the details of my operation! Or gave me anything when I left.

I wish I could give it a zero!
I knew I should have gone to Spectrum! It's freezing in this ER at least spectrum would ask if you wanted a blanket! Since U of M taking over the hospital the services have seemed to be less patient-focused and concerned with the profits.
