Nurses always going into hiding plus don’t like to answer Call Lights
I had an terrible experience on the 5th floor. I was in severe pain the PCA all I did was asked for some water she told me I gotta do my rounds before she gets me some water and Dietary horrible service you gotta wait several hours to get some food plus they’ve an nasty attitude in that department the food no menu in site and on top of that the food was cold as ice went it came it was 7pm at night eating dinner Iam currently here right now as a patient this is sad I have been treated this poorly in my life at an hospital please please people check on your loved ones

Attend to your patients. Such a big joke.
The WORST hospital I've ever been at. Neglect of patients. False information. Kept me over night. Did not check in on me. Did not inform me about anything. Woke me up and moved me to the complete other side of thr building . Sat there for 2 hours before a nurse showed up. Matter of fact I'm still sitting on the bed and a nurse walked in 3 times to the other lady in tne room. And I've still been just sitting here. I've turned my call light on and still no one. This place is a joke. They don't take thier patients seriously regardless of the reason we are here is irrelevant.

Never taking her back to Harper or DMC again.
I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to get treated here. My grandma had what was suppose to be a simple hernia repair with Dr. Webber on 09/15/22. She had complications including severe pain, low blood pressure, and vomiting 5 times a day after the procedure. We took her to the ER at the same hospital a week after and was sent home the same day with no treatment. She did not receive any antibiotics after the surgery or ER visit. We called the number listed on the discharge papers which was suppose to be the surgeon’s office, and it was a wrong number. I called the operator and was transferred to his office, no answer. We took her to Henry Ford, and turns out she has septic shock!!!!! Her blood pressure was dangerously low. Had we waited, it could’ve been fatal and now she is in the ICU. She developed an open and deep wound due to the poorly created incision and suturing. About 5-6 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Harper is known to have an unsanitary OR. I urge you to not take your loved ones there.

Unsatisfactory to not provide timely information
My uncle was scheduled for neck surgery at 2pm. My mom stayed at the hospital to make sure things went well. She was there past 930pm and still no one came to her to give an update. I called the operator she told me that the nurses were going to give an update. They never did. My mom is a diabetic and her surgar dropped. This is total unsatisfactory for a hospital to not provide any information to the family foe 9 hours

Mom's early demise, aspirated because she did not have swallow eval
Awful place to leave a loved one. Unprofessional. Uncaring. Test and procedures not done. Which in turn led to my moms earlier demise. Basically aspirated because she did not have swallow eval. And therefore was given the wrong diet.

What type of hospital hides nurses that emotionally harms patience???
It is May 31st 2023, I have been in the hospital for over a week I am currently in the ICU unit on the fourth floor my first day on the floor started a nightmare that has bothered me daily since. I have been lied to by staff who I thought was here to help me but instead they were in cahoots with the nurse that had wronged me. I requested to see the unit manager which I haven't seen or heard from first day of my request to see her not knowing who else to turn to for help so I requested a social worker also neither one of the two have shown up and no one has tried reach out to me to help me in person or by telephone that does happen to be working in my room no nurse that has wronged a patient should be allowed to get away with. I have been shamed wrongfully and targeted and there's no one here at Harper hospital to do something about it for me. What type of hospital hides nurses that emotionally harms patience and caused more stress and pain then what they came to the hospital with? I'm still waiting to hear from someone, this was last Friday

WARNING!!!!!!!
If you care about your loved ones please DO NOT take them to this hospital. I took my mom here to have a major surgery. They placed her in pre-op in a bed that was dirty with dried fluid. Just disgusting!!! Not only that, the staff there are SOOO RUDE. And im talking about everyone from the ladies who answer the phones when you call, the ladies in recovery and the nurses at the stations. My moms surgery was over at 12 noon she did not get a bed in a room until 9pm she could not contact anyone because the phone in her room did not work and the nurses with their nasty attitudes did not want to replace it. My mom said they treated her horribly while she was there and it upsets me that she could not contact anyone during that time. I called this place at least 20 times trying to get information about what was going on after her surgery and I was hung up on twice and put on hold for a long time while I called from another device. I had to demand the information out of them to get anything. This was by far the worst experience in a hospital that I have ever been to. And I will be contacting the CDC and filing a complaint against them because NO ONE should be treated like this in a place they come to for HELP.
