You get 2 bills for having a child
The Med Center has added an OB Emergency Department. So now when you go into labor, you have to go to the OB ED before they let you go to L&D. So now, you get 2 bills for having a child. One for the ED and one for L&D!

i recommend going somewhere else.
my husband went in for chest pain, they did some imaging and said they didn’t find anything abnormal with his heart so they discharged him. 90% of the time we were just waiting around for them to do something. we saw the cardiologist twice and he was in the room for all of 3 seconds. they discharged him still having chest pain. didn’t even bother to look into anything else that could have caused the chest pain. his troponin was elevated so clearly there was something going on and they just didn’t care.

I have had my dad back here 3 times for CDIFF and each time was a total waste
This hospital is the worst hospital I have ever been too. The staff is not friendly at all and the nurses and doctors are a joke. The nurses are to busy hanging out at the nurses desk talking or on their phones or a nurse will come out to the ER waiting room to call someone back but before they do they have to sit behind the registration desk and talk for 30 minutes. I have had my dad back here 3 times for CDIFF and each time it has been the exact same way total waste of the day. The last time was on June 30th my dad who is 81 years old was taken by ambulance and arrived at 8:30am due to the fact he could not walk and he has been fighting CDiff since March of this year as soon as his antibiotic treatment is over within a couple days it is back. Every time he gets CDiff his magnesium goes down and causes him not to be able to walk or use his limbs. He arrived at the hospital at 8:30 am and it wasn't until 5:00 pm when the doctor spoke with us. This Doctor by the name of Chad Collins is the rudest, most arrogant person I have ever seen. The way he spoke to my dad with such disrespect is not acceptable. He told us he does not know if it is CDiff again that they would have to wait for the results from the sample return. If you have had or know someone who has had CDiff you know the smell. He also stated that CDiff would not cause him to not be able to walk in just a couple days. After I said a few choice words to him regarding how he talks to people and his general attitude, I let him know that I will never again bring my family to this hospital where people do not care for others. His response and I quote. "Good that would make me happy" really? what kind of doctor says that. he said he was releasing him to go home and when they got the results they would call.So, he released an 81 year old man who could not walk in the care of his 75 year old wife. I would most defiantly call this "Patient Neglect" In the same day I took him to Vanderbilt (a real hospital with real doctors who care) I have contacted the KY Medical Board on Chad Collins.

I would not take my dog to this place for treatment
Very unprofessional and rude nurses there, none of which even try to hit a lick at what they are there for. If you value your family, please don’t take them to this dump hole called a hospital. None of them care! They don’t even deserve the one star I gave them

No idea how to deal with autistic children
This place has no idea how to deal with children that are on the autism spectrum because my 5 year old grandson just had to have dental surgery and the first thing they do wrong is to shake him when he wakes up from anywhere, then they squeezed his O2 meter on his toe. They then grab like they knew him. Someone needs to teach these nurses what it is to be autistic so they know how to deal with these children!!! Made me very angry because they upset him even more than the procedures did!!!

Will not recommend.
Took our daughter to the emergency room. We waited...and waited...and waited. Hardly any movement in a full waiting room. Zero communication. After three hours of waiting, we needed to get our daughter in bed. She was sick, feeling awful, and suffering pain. We decided to medicate at home and give her a night's rest. The Medical Center clearly does not know how to operate an "EMERGENCY ROOM." Zero stars. Will not recommend. Will not take my "clients" there.

DEFAULT
8/24 Had shoulder replacement surgery 8/24 2022 and was given the wrong medicine. Then on 8/24 had terrible night was given the wrong medicine not on my orders. 8/25 Was being discharged before I was ready by a rude man with a cup of coffee I didn't even know He never introduced himself, just said I had to leave due to people in the emergency room were sicker than me.

Complete joke. Went in for throwing up blood told me about drunk college kids throwing up blood after drinking. I am a pregnant woman throwing up blood which is not normal. Went to another hospital and got admitted. I call for an itemized bill and they send me the same exact bill which is not itemized. If you value your life stay away
