This place is a disgrace
Visiting my uncle. The room was filthy, dark and had no chair for him to sit in. His nurse didn’t know he was on precautions. He was left with no access to water, lying in his feces and the nurse really didn’t have a clue. I couldn’t hear him speak over the alarm that was going off from his IV….after about ten minutes I had to go find someone to turn the alarm off. I have worked in a level 1 trauma center for twenty years so I do know a little about how care/treatment should be given.

My family member paid the price
Just aweful, sadly worst experience ever in ICU. Nurse on duty lacking knowledge but even more so lacking compassion for her patients and my family member paid the price for her incompetence. I used to have such a high opinion but the hospital is only as good as their weakest link

I left the hospital crying because of how poorly me and my mom were treated
I had scheduled an appointment for my growth ultrasound because I have a high risk pregnancy and it was scheduled, but it wasn’t in their system at the same time. They can see that my appointment was scheduled, but it wasn’t there so they had to squeeze me in and my ultrasound technician she didn’t say her name, but she was very rude. She pushed my mom into the ultrasound room and she was just very nasty and rushed the whole ultrasound and it was just a very bad experience, especially for me as a first time mom who has a high possibility of her baby having down syndrome, and it was just very horrible.

The system sucks for the mentally ill.
My brother who suffers from schizophrenia has been ex parted and baker acted all his life. He is physically violent and my parents are in their sixties and think they can take care of him. They can’t. He needed to be ex parted because he wasn’t taking his medication and he was sent here. As many times as he’s been baker acted either they keep him for three days or a doctor actually talks to my brother and wants to help him so they actually keep him. This place, whoever the doctor is, must have spent no time at all evaluating my brother. The same dude that faked a breathing spat so my mother would run down and forced his way into her vehicle and demanded she buy him beer, this doctor thinks is no danger to himself or others. The same guy that pushed my mother into a wall and gave her a nasty bruise on her forehead. The same guy who broke into my father’s neighbors home to reposition cameras so they’re not “watching him”. The same guy who had police officers rush to his home because someone was in the attic watching him. So now my mentally ill brother will be sent back to my elderly fathers home. Thanks for the help Morton plant. Further cementing the fact there is no help for the mentally ill here in Florida. Do not send your loved one here. They’re not here to help them.

I do not feel I got the proper treatment
I went to the ER at Morton plant and I had a very bad nose bleed. I arrived at the hospital around 11pm and was finally given a room around 12am. I was constantly bleeding and had very little attention from staff. I was bleeding so bad they finally gave me a suction valve and it filled up to 750 ml I bleed from 10 at night till the next day around 1130 or just before noon. The staff wanted to keep my door shut saying the suction machine was to loud and I told them to keep my door open. The staff was so loud and did not pay me any attention once my daughter left. That was the worst experience I ever had. I felt as if I could have died in the ER and they would not have even noticed because they have not checked on me. I hope no one has to ever experience what I went through at Morton Plant Hospital. Why do I have to have my door shut?

They called me to tell me to pull the plug on my mother
Got a call from a frantic female nurse at 2am and I couldn't understand her as she was so confused mumbling her words. So, I raced down to the ICU and this nurse was telling me that I should pull the plug on my mother. I told her that she was out of order with these comments. Then I saw a slow walking older nurse walking towards me and she looked like the night of the living dead! With arms behind her back like she was working for the Gestapo!!! She kept staring me right in my eyes! She was the charge nurse. Scary hospital!!!!! Til this day I know they purposely got my mother in this condition, so they can have her removed, because she was close to the 30 day point. Ask MANY MANY QUESTIONS FROM STAFF, STAY ON TOP OF THESE PEOPLE! HOW MANY OTHER UNSPEAKABLE ATROCITIES OCCURRED IN THIS HOSPITAL THAT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT!!!!!!!
