I hope that other patients do not experience similar issues
I am writing to formally report a very poor experience in your emergency department. I arrived by ambulance due to a severe headache and extremely high blood pressure. I was told my blood pressure was near stroke level. Despite the seriousness of my symptoms, I waited almost two hours without receiving appropriate attention. The only testing performed was blood work, and I was ultimately told I had a “viral infection,” which did not seem to match the severity of my symptoms and was very concerning to me. During my stay, I repeatedly attempted to get assistance. I pressed the call light and waited over five minutes with no response. I pressed it multiple times. At one point, I got out of bed to look for help myself. I observed the nurse who was assigned to my care standing directly in front of the flashing call light and he did not acknowledge it. In addition, I was told I would be discharged with printed prescriptions and a doctor’s note for work. However, when I left, the prescriptions were not provided and the doctor’s note was not signed as promised. Overall, the reason I came to the hospital was not properly addressed, and I felt unsafe, ignored, and extremely disappointed with the level of care I received. This was one of the worst medical experiences I have had, and I do not feel confident returning to this facility in the future.

do not come here
i was admitted here because i had some chest pressure and pain. it was so urgent that i be here that they have ignored me (other than routine blood draws and vitals). i have not seen a cardiologist for over 14 hours no food. no drink because whenever they get around to it the procedure requires it. i'm about ready to check myself out.

Worst hospital in south florida
Doesn’t have enough rooms for the patients, and nurses expect you to figure out everything on your own, including the reason you came to the hospital… if you love yourself you’d go somewhere else.

Why so rude and inconsiderate of a patients needs?
So I bring my wife for an MRI. She checks in and has to use the ladies room. Upon approaching she's denied entry by the housekeeper who is sweeping the debris OUT OF THE BATHROOM INTO THE COMMON AREA with a swiffer type mop. Why cleaning when the waiting room is crowded? Why no sign on door? Why sweep trash into hall from a bathroom? Why sweep with a swifter. I saw a broom and dustpan there.

I made a report with the “head nurse” and I never heard back
The EMT who took my blood samples placed the syringes and alcohol swabs on a medical tray with other people’s dried blood and urine. He even reused a cotton swab on me that he placed on that tray. I’ve never in my life seen such a dirty hospital. I didn’t see one cleaning staff member the entire time I was there which was 5 hrs. I’m extremely worried I possibly caught something. The positive part of the experience were the nurses and greeting staff. I made a report with the “head nurse” and I never heard back. I’m extremely concerned for my health after being exposed to foreign blood and urine and would like support from the hospital. I’ve tried calling many times but each time I’m transferred to the wrong department.

After the ambulance trip her care went downhill
My aunt was admitted to the ICU on June 22, the only people I will thank in saving her life is the police & ambulance who were able to resuscitate her. However after that has been a downhill. The first day we had nurses making inappropriate comments about my aunt’s condition where everyone around could hear. We barely saw any of the Dr’s & all of the her health updates mostly came from the nurses. This is why black woman are dying due to lack of care & compassion. Please stay away from this hospital if you can!

All they did was draw blood about 20 times
I was admitted through emergency room for 3 night. I was severely low on Sodium, worried about cancer in the family, back issues and ongoing problems from a rare disease of the esophagus. HCA aka JFK tried to kill me. No food. No water. No medicine and no sleep. Is all they did was draw blood about 20 times. Finally my Gastroenterologist arrived Saturday morning. He has full hospital privileges. He reversed everything and I was released the next day. He honestly saved my life. I was going through severe withdrawal from not having my medicines. On top of everything the room ac was broken and food was cold and nasty. Stay clear of this place. More like a prison than a hospital. They hold you hostage to collect insurance money and if you leave the monetary responsibility falls on you. I couldn’t afford that. If I could put 0 stars I would.

Put my life in jeopardy!
Case management dropped the ball in such a manner it has put my life in jeopardy. I had a wound vacuum installed in my right hip to help close the incision from a total hip replacement surgery. Home health was supposed to be set up to change the sponge and dressing 3 times a week. Dana set me up with an agency that does not service wounds vacs. It has been 13 days of my wife spending 10 plus hour days on the phone with every nurse, agency, doctor, hospital, surgeon, nurse practitioner, etc , in palm beach, Broward and part of Miami Dade county to no avail. My dressing and sponge should have been changed 4-5 times by now and have not been once. They set me up as a backup with a wound care clinic that does not take my insurance. As a final and last resort my surgeon told me to go back to JFK through the ER to have them change it. Sunday early evening we show up. No wound care nurse. 2 hours later they send me home without card. Please come back Monday between 8-5 she will change it. Monday: I leave work at 2pm to get there at 3pm. Checked in. 3 hours later she is gone and no care. No dressing change. They send us home. We visit an urgent care to consult with a doctor who tells us how disgusting it is that this case manager refuses to help me and the hospital itself (mind you they placed the device in that hospital) refuses to care for me. I have good health insurance to boot. As he said if they installed it, they are legally and morally obligated to see it through until that device is removed. I have had a 2 year history of staph aureus and this was supposed to be preventative. I am now at worse risk with fluid sitting in there as after 13 days the tube had completely fallen out. I am dripping wound fluid all over my floor and nobody will help. This entire system beginning with a mast monopolizing directive set in motion by HCA and their minions is ruining an already ailing healthcare system. The case magament and the Er staff that refused my care should be fired and fined at minimum. You’re in for quite an awakening when this hits social media and mainstream media.
