This hospital has no integrity, no ethics and took advantage of a sick veteran
While the care from this facility was okay, I have to question the integrity of the doctor and intern who cared for my husband. I brought my husband to this med center after he suffered a stroke. Banner Goldfield cared for him until they couldn’t provide all the care he required. They processed a transfer to another Banner facility. When they said he would be transferred by ambulance my husband sat up and said who was paying for that. I was in the room as well and witnessed the conversation. The doctor said, and the intern was standing right next to the doctor when this response was given, the hospital will write off the charge because we are unable to give you the total care you need. My husband again asked the same question to get confirmation of what was said and again they said the hospital would eat the charge. Of course the hospital did not honor that promise when the bill came and after numerous calls I was told they have no recollection of that conversation. We did not make this conversation up. This hospital and or staff has no integrity, no ethics and took advantage of a sick veteran and lied to him in my opinion. They should be ashamed.
