This was not care - it was neglect
Do NOT go here for an emergency! My recent visit to Holmes Regional emergency room visit was one of the most dehumanizing experiences of my life. I was placed in a crowded hallway crammed with dozens of patients lined up head to toe, all within earshot of one another. My “bed” was directly in front of a custodial cleaning closet, with staff dragging trash and supplies in and out. There was zero privacy, equipment was mishandled, and test results were never explained. It felt chaotic, unsafe, and outdated — not modern healthcare. For hours I was left without food, water, or even a proper chair for my parents. A nurse tried to discharge me without a doctor, and when I insisted, I was only seen in a noisy cubicle with a curtain in the waiting area. Patients deserve dignity, privacy, and compassion, not to be left in hallways and cleaning closets like forgotten numbers.

Absolute worst hospital I have ever ever dealt with
You can’t find any parking. They’re OK with people coming to park in their parking lot and move around clothes and sleep in their parking lot near the emergency room area and what I am told by security is first come first serve. So in order for you to even go to the emergency room area, you have to walk from one side of the hospital to the other side

AVOID HOLMES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AT ALL COSTS
If you want quality medical care, My suggestion if that you strongly AVOID HOLMES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER. I wouldn't send my cat to Holmes Regional for care, Let alone recommend it for a human being. And if you have a mental health condition, they do not give you basic dignity and respect.

Absolutely unacceptable
This is the first ER I have ever been to with one of my children where the doctor never even stepped foot in the room. No one took the time to review the lab results with us. Just sent in a nurse with discharge papers without ever seeing a physician. But I guarantee the doctor will send a bill after never even speaking to us.
