Several medical errors committed against my dad
Stay away from this hospital if you care about your loved one!! I never do bad reviews but I absolutely have to warn others! I could not get my dad out of there fast enough!! I work in healthcare and the care he received at this hospital was not even close to any standard of care. Urologist Dr Blau made recommendations that lead to sepsis and a stroke! The GI doctor did not even do a full work up for a bleeding source. And the ID doctor did not get the antibiotics correct. It was always waiting and waiting for any test as they always said they were just too busy. Thankful my dad then went to a different hospital in Fl and received better treatment. But some effects are irreversible which is absolutely awful because it was due to medical error. I was told by a “Naples local” that NCH means “Never Come Home”!! Stay away!!

I am an RN who had a horrible experience
I am an RN who had a back fusion there in January 24.. It was a horrible experience. I did not receive Medications and left with another severe injury. I would avoid this place entirely.

They gave me medicine that literally almost killed me
This hospital is known as Naples Community death hospital. This is the worst hospital in Naples and probably on earth. It is ashame being that Naples is the richest place and the hospital is so poorly run. To start off I came for a medical condition that was never treated and the provider and nurses gave me medicine that literally almost killed me. To the point It was a code/swat. Waking up to see chaos. I couldn’t believe how none of the staff knew what to do. From doctors, nurse practitioner, nurses, CNA, all were incompetent. The icu doctors thought pt medical conditions were a joke. The nurses and cnas never round on the patients to make sure the patients are alive, breathing, or if they need any assistance. You can press the call light and won’t get a nurse or cna for 2-4 hours later. Nurses are found in other units talking with other nurses and not checking on the their patients. I just couldn’t believe all that I witness. I literally laid in pain for hours, no iv access for nearly the whole day, nobody can place iv, the staff is clueless. The doctors do not communicate with each other. One doctor tells you one thing and the other doctor says different. You can be scheduled to have testing done but it’s never done. All of a sudden test is cancelled. They will literally keep you npo all and then in the evening they bring a tray and never acknowledge why the test wasn’t done. What I witness here at this hospital is so disgusting. No management around to check if the staff is caring for the patients. Nurses and CNAs hide the whole shift or just sit at the nurses station. The nurses are very incompetent and they never can give you an answer. I would literally ask the nurse did you call to see why procedure was canceled and the nurse would say I do not know. The nurse would have no care to follow up either. Literally saw my nurse one time a day during my hospital stay which was during morning medication administration. If a pt was to be unalive, harm self or faint etc, the nursing staff wouldn’t know because they never round. It is a shame for Naples to be such a beautiful place with such horrible hospital. If this hospital never change, I never see any hope that patients will continue to seek care here. Hopefully this hospital get good management that will help this hospital. I now understand why people say avoid this hospital at all cost. If you love yourself go to hospital like tampa, university of Miami, etc . See medical assistance at other hospitals that will take your care more serious.
