I would like to say i had absolutely horrible experience er
Maybe is normal day for nurses but it,s absolutely unacceptable for me nurses already are mad at me when they just meet me. They come my room like a mad wolf's. Not introducing themselves and what they going to do. All 3 of them talked with raising tone of voice together what is make me so scared. When I asked multible times what is they names one of them asked why, why. Hey do pt have rights to know who taking care of them and what kind care pt receiving? One of them start screaming at me :" don't you tuch me" while I am just trying to reposition to get comfortable. Turns out her name was Linda. Please do not go under her care. She will treat you without dignity, respect, soul and heart. Very rude and unacceptable behavior. Other nurses behaind nursing station laughed out loud some event. How this kind atmosphere is ok? Finally of the blue come lifesaver Emma. Absolutely beautiful soul. She deserves million stars and thank her bottom of my heart for her help and care! Overall very bad experience. Good about this horror story...it,s give me so much power to fight for better pt care. Linda's never exist and Emma's taking over. Wish me luck. Love, hugs prayers

We were not treated with the compassion and professionalism that we expected
On April 1, 2025, our younger brother was admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Upon our arrival, we were informed by a chaplain named Todd that our brother will not survive. He advised us to take him off life support, as his injuries would cause swelling that could lead to a heart attack. Shockingly, no surgery was performed even though his parents were informed it was, and for four days, they kept him in the same bandages without disinfecting the wound to prevent infection. Additionally, the hospital staff did not realize he was a minor until the second day, which should have changed the process significantly. Proper care for a minor includes pediatric specialists and specific tests, none of which were provided until the third day of his stay. Throughout this process, as a family, we expressed our desire to continue fighting for our brother’s life and keep him on life support. Despite our wishes, the staff continually pressured us to remove him from life support. We had multiple questions, but the doctors were unable to provide clear answers. When we requested a neurosurgeon, we were told one would be available, but they never came. The more we asked questions and voiced our concerns, the stricter the hospital staff became with visitation policies, monitoring us closely and limiting how many people could visit at any given time. When the hospital tried to pronounce our brother deceased, even though his vitals were stable, all of our family members were present in support. One staff member began to exhibit aggressive behavior. She expressed frustration with the number of people in the hallway and asked us to leave. When we explained we had just arrived and were looking for a place to sit, she became even more upset, especially when we requested a neurosurgeon again. Rather than offering sympathy, she yelled at us and set a limit of four visitors, despite the fact that there were ten chairs put in the room for everyone to come in. Her actions were unprofessional, and she became increasingly disrespectful. Ultimately, she kicked us out of the hospital, even those who were not directly involved in the situation. To make matters worse, the nurses deliberately concealed their badges when we asked for their names, and we were either ignored or dismissed when we requested them. We attempted to call the emergency room, only to have the calls disconnected multiple times. We urge others to carefully consider this hospital before trusting them with the care of their loved ones. Based on our experience, we felt that our family’s needs were disregarded, and we were not treated with the compassion and professionalism that we expected during such a critical time.

I can't tell if they don't care, are just that stupid, or both
I took my wife in because she was bleeding heavily enough that it was soaking through pad, underwear, and pants 2 to 3 times an hour. She was leaving a trail of frank blood every time she tried to stand. She had a high level of pain and was unable to walk more than a few feet. I dropped her off at the er and in the time it took to park and walk in she was already sitting in a puddle of her own blood. I tried to speak with the triage nurse about it and was told her blood pressure was fine so she probably wasn't bleeding too much. As my wife was already light headed we figured it was best to go elsewhere. Luckily the second er we went to was smart enough to realize you don't have to wait for a patient to start decompensating to address acute significant hemorrhage. Do not ever go here.

Banner billing is horrible
They will bill you and when you make a payment plan through banner through a different company. Horrible place to go.

It is hard to explain how horrible our experience at Banner was
As first time parents of a late preterm baby, we were set up for failure. To keep it brief, we had a baby at 35 weeks. We were discharged in 36 hours. Our baby lost 18% of his weight. We had seen lactation/nutrition for 5 minutes and they told us to syringe feed until he starts breastfeeding. Then she left and was too busy to return. We were then sent home with no further instructions. Luckily our pediatrician is phenomenal and told us to take him to the PCH as he was at a dangerously low weight. It sounds horrible and it is. We had no idea and we did our best to research and keep him fed but with the treatment from banner, we could have lost our child. They will push vaccines and give no financial help to those who need it. Most of the L&D nurses are brand new and uncooperative. If at all possible, go elsewhere. There are some great people who work here, but overall we had a terrible experience. This is not our first bad experience with Banner, but it certainly will be our last time dealing with them.

Wont help with pre-authorization to negotiate out of pocket $15k for an operation
My wife has a thyroid tumor that needs to be removed. It's been a long, slow, painful (literally for her, figuratively for everything else) process. After scheduling, today a representative of the hospital named Kathy called to inform us that our out of pocket would be $15k for the operation. When we asked for time to figure it out, she became rude and pushy. We called insurance and they told us we need to go through a pre-authorization to negotiate price, since $15k is no small figure. When we called back, Kathy was rude and indignant, refusing to help us with what the insurance literally told us to tell her. We all know hospitals treat your life like a number, but I've never encountered one that doesn't even bother pretending like your life is important.

My time at Banner hospital was a nightmare
I told them no opioids and was given them anyway. Saying they were Tylenol when they were actually Tylenol/oxcodone. How do they get away with this ? It caused me breathing problems so they kept me over night. Much to my objections. I will never go back to Banner Hospital again !!

My sentiments are far from positive following my recent experience
I cannot in good conscience recommend Banner University to anyone seeking medical care for their loved ones. My family's experience has been nothing short of disappointing, and I sincerely hope that you take steps to improve the quality of care provided at your facility. On Saturday March 30, 2024, my daughter was admitted to your hospital after being involved in a traumatic car accident caused by a drunk driver. From the moment I arrived at your hospital, I was met with a series of disappointments and frustrations that compounded an already difficult situation. I was left in a small, windowless room with no updates on her condition. Despite assurances that I would be kept informed, hours passed without any communication from the medical staff. The lack of transparency and communication reached a peak when I received a call from an unknown number, only to find out it was the surgeon informing me that my daughter's surgery had been completed. This call came several hours after the surgery had concluded, leaving me feeling disregarded and neglected as a concerned family member. Furthermore, the overall bedside manner of the nurses and staff left much to be desired. There was a palpable absence of compassion and care for the families who were enduring the emotional turmoil of having loved ones in critical condition. This lack of empathy only served to exacerbate the already distressing situation.

Disgusting organization
Awful, shameful. Waited 5 hours in the ER waiting room on the verge of a seizure, nothing was done. Doctors yelled at me for talking to family during that time. During practice, treated as a sub-human. Acted like I wasn’t worth their time. Cherry on top? Sold my debt to collectors merely a few MONTHS after. Now I’m hounded by them daily to pay a bill that sinks my credit for people who didn’t want to treat me with humanity.
