The issue I'm having is getting straight answers from the Billing Department
I have recently been charged for services that were always covered in the past. When I ask to see past statements or an explanation to understand if how the services were billed, the standard answer has become "call your insurance company". What do I have to do to get straight answers?

The incompetence of the staff here is another level!
My father is having open heart surgery this morning and we’re told to be there at 5am. We stayed at the Doubletree that’s connected to make everything as easy as possible. We were told to call them so they could let us in the skywalk. Nobody came after we called so we had to walk. We asked the few employees we saw where to go, nobody knew anything. If you have the opportunity to go anywhere else, I’d recommend it as BJH couldn’t care less if you die wondering around their halls.

That place is filthy disgusting. And I got no answers!
Went to ER for shingles on the eye lid. 1st Dr had gloves on. Touched everything in that filthy dirty room. Then touched my eyes. Wth! Gave me no help. I only went to see Optomologist. Said one would come in. Then said no. They didn't need to. I insisted. Optomologist came in. She finally Did. Did a full eye checkup. She said Eye wasnt bad. I TOLD them several times. Rash just started. What happens when it gets bad? I was there 5 hours. NO HELP! I asked to leave. They ignored me. Pushed button again. Told them they weren't doing anything. They never even offered a drink of water. I wanted to go home. After telling 4 people I needed to leave and no one did a thing. I took monitors, BP, everything off myself and got dressed. Pushed button and said. I'm leaving, do I need to sign anything?

Right now, I would give Barnes Jewish Hospital a zero
I have to agree with majority of people's reaction to recent inpatient treatment at this hospital. And I wasn't even the patient! I will have to come back and update this. It has been going on since Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve!!! And it just keeps going like a bad horror movie.

I went through three years of hell because of the negligence of this facility
Many of the students and the nurses used MyChart/EPIC to enter personal opinions, falsify documentation and misquote me. There are “diagnoses” without any tests, and diagnosis with no tests to back up their misdiagnosis, quotes that I never said, opinions about my character that are untrue. I don’t recommend this facility based on my cancer treatment. Many of my ailments were not diagnosed or treated, false statements led to misdiagnosis and mistreatment. This is a very unprofessional and abusive facility. There’s no accountability until you hire an attorney. I moved out of the state to get the cancer treatment and the side effects from chemotherapy addressed. My doctors were more interested in trying to force me into admitting that I was some kind of drug addict (never in my life) than actually treating my cancer. This all began when my ex found a needle from the emergency department in my cot and reported it to the Head Nurse.

They must rank themselves top 10 in the country
My mother was on the 9th floor. Her first two nurses were great. The rest horrible. We had to drive 2 hours a day to make sure my mother could eat. They just drop the tray and leave. Food service horrible, housekeeping horrible. Very dirty rooms sticky floors. No paper towels in bathrooms. I could go on and on but this place is junk

Being treated like an inconvenience is no fun after open heart
The surgeon was great. When I got out of icu that's where it all began. There's so much I can say, but I just had open heart in January. Nobody would help me to the bathroom literally had a fall risk bracelet. I'd hit the button and nobody would ever come so I got up myself fell 3xs told them nobody cared. A few times went without pain meds bc again nobody would come or say they were and never did until I got up and went to the door and got somebody. The nurse gave me caffeine after it was said I can't have it, but still did and went back into afib. Was hallucinating bc the pain meds. Told them over and over finally my surgeon came in and dealt with it. Nobody would help me with a shower until the very last day like 10mins before I was too leave and "oh I can give you shower" mind you I was there almost a week and a half. The room was filthy. Never again. I'd rather die. Ptsd is real bc I have had nightmares about that place ever since. They had my allergies messed up and I pretty much ate broth the whole time. It's just ridiculous. I'm going to say this was the worst experience in my life. I felt so alone which I was I had nobody except my nurses. I had 2 good nurses that weren't there all of the time of course. Being treated like an inconvenience is no fun after open heart and when you have no family there and are all alone you look to your nurses, but my nurses might of well have been invisible.

Extremely long wait times
Nine hours and still can't get into a room. They may have excellent doctors but their admin side needs a serious overhaul. Extremely inefficient.
