I had to give a star, but this hospital doesn't deserve any stars!
I will NEVER go to a Mercy hospital again. The nurses are rude, dismissive, and detached. Ehen you press your call button they take their time to respond. I felt like I needed immediate help, but they didn't care. I asked a nurse for a warm blanket and she told me she had another patient she had to get to. I asked her if the other patient was more important than me, but she just walked out my room without responding. The doctors on my case were never on the same page as the other doctors on my case. When I was discharged, my regular doctors couldn't find the records from my stay and I was in this hospital for 13 days! I was in heart failure and they were giving me steroids which make you retain water. If I'm in heart failure I need to get rid of fluid not receive medications that made me retain it! It was a lot! I don't recommend Mercy for emergency care or any other care. I heard 5 code blue calls in one day and they were all in the cath lab. One of my relatives came to visit me one day and one of her coworkers' sister was on the same floor as me and we heard a code blue called and it happened to be her coworker's sister. She died while she was waiting for them to transfer her to another hospital because they were ilequipped to care for her in the condition she was. Because these people take no urgency when you press your call button, this woman paid with her life! I don't know how this hospital is still open!

NEVER WILL I EVER COME BACK HERE.... EVEN IF IM DYING
Daughter was in a bad car accident, got rushed to Jewish in an ambulance..she had a busted eye and head trauma and had her sitting in the lobby for an hour.... got back to triage room and has been in here for OVER AN hour... no pain meds no nothing. I had to hunt someone down for tissues. No rooms available.... so nobody checks on the patient???? 2 hours still waiting on an ice packet for her swallow shut eye... no pain help... jewish has gone to hell in a hand basket....

Mercy Health in general sucks!
I waited over 6 hours with severe abdominal pain and I ended up walking out and going someplace else. Never again will I step foot in this hospital a waste of my time. They spent all that time and money updating this hospital and they should’ve spent more time in their staff and how to operate an emergency room. If you aren’t bleeding out to death they do not care and will take their sweet time so unless you have all day to spend at a hospital. Oh and their beds are disgusting!!

If you want proper care, don’t go to Jewish Hospital Mercy Health
I went to the ER because I had been experiencing recurrent fevers and a rash on my body. The doctors urgently informed me that I needed to be admitted to the hospital for testing. Over the course of my stay, they ran dozens of tests, and I must have spoken to nearly ten different doctors. After two days, they still had no idea what was wrong. The worst part is that they suspected it was likely an autoimmune issue and referred me to another doctor. However, the doctor I was referred to wouldn’t see me without a diagnosis. I contacted the hospital to request a different referral, leaving two messages, but no one has called me back. The doctor in charge of my discharge was Zachary Brine. Now, I’m stuck with a massive hospital bill, no diagnosis, and no help in securing another referral. No one will return my calls.

Unacceptable Wait
After spending 5.5 hrs in the waiting room waiting to be seen for chest tightness we left AMA and went to another hospital. Not one patient was called back in a 3 hour time period during our wait.

I wouldn’t bring my worst enemy’s dead pet rock here.
I would give this hospital a negative review if it was an option. My dad was here a year ago, and was diabetic. His sugar dropped and the nurse told him she didn’t know what to do. Wow. My mom was left in the ER waiting room with internal bleeding last year, while they took care of scratches and sniffles. Fast forward to today, 12 HOURS waiting for blood to be drawn for lab work. This is a poor pathetic excuse for a hospital! Please please please take your loved ones elsewhere!!!

Jewish Hospital is the reason my mother isn’t here
Incompetent Doctors and nurses of Jewish Hospital are the reason my mother isn’t here. My mother passed due to swelling of the brain while in the care of the blood cancer center ICU at Jewish. She was being treated for a blood infection. She was there for days and no one had a clue that her brain was swelling. Nurses in the ICU only have one patient. Our nurse rarely came in the room the day she passed. Maybe nurses should due hourly checks to make sure patients are responsive. I’m not sure what the answer is but I hope policy is changed so this doesn’t happen to someone else.

Customer service at Jewish Hospital is horrible!
I was on hold with Billing for 1 hour and 38 minutes waiting on hold. Finally at about 5:30 PM answers the phone and acts like she can not hear me. I kept saying hello and she kept acting like she could not hear me and she hangs up the telephone. I called back immediately and wouldn't you know, Jewish Hospital was closed. I wouldn't send my neighbors barking dog there for care.

The worst hospital I have ever been to! I had a bacterial infection and was never prescribed any medication! It took 5 business days for my “MYChart” to be updated. I also waited 4 hours to be seen by the ER Doctor yet I was 1/3 people in the ER at the time. I called in to request information about my results & I was told to call back in during “day shift hours” This is also the most disgusting facility I have ever visited. Blood from god knows where on the toilet seat and floors. Urine samples left out on the bathroom sink! My bed, remote, and side table were not wiped down until I’d mentioned it to staff. I also was seen by a male doctor who was very rough during the exam AFTER requesting a woman!
