This hospital, particularly the ER, does not represent the US healthcare values in any shape or form. I took my wife to that hospital for an emergency care on Oct. 27, 2024. 1. Got there at about 10:15pm 2. Waited until 11 pm for paperwork (data entry) to be completed at the reception desk 3. Taken to a consulting room for initial checks and ‘sample taking’ at around 11:30pm 4. Was asked to wait at the reception for a bed to be available. 5. At around 2:30am (over 3 hours after we first arrived at the facility), nobody came around to tell us what was going on or what step should be taken next. 6. At 3 a.m. I went over to the counter to enquire. A young lady at the counter told me they have issues with their network, and they were expecting it to be back and active in an hour’s time. 7. At 4 am, I went over to a gentleman, I presume he is a nurse or assistant of a sort. This was a gentleman who had told us to wait around 11:40pm as they made a bed available for my wife. This time, he appeared indifferent and somewhat rude. He told me there were no beds available yet and that explains why they have not called us, or had no action taken as at 4 a.m. In all this my patient (wife) was suffering and seemed tired and dehydrated. 8. At 5 am, I asked this same gentleman (young, nice looking bald head) if we could go to a different facility or go home to rest and come back again. He told me rudely, “it’s your choice, dude”. 9. So, we left! 10. Between 10:15 pm and 5:30am at an emergency department of a previously known reputable hospital without an iota of doctor’s attention and no rest? This is not the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA!!!

I was admitted and not given ANY of my PRESCRIBED medications
I went to the E.R. extremely ill. I was admitted and not given ANY of my PRESCRIBED medications. After the doctor who released me found the mistake, I am still reeling!! No wonder the unprofessional, unempathetic nurses kept putting me off and acting like I was a drug addict. The nurses didn't check further to find out what was going on. Please let ALL of those nurses take a remedial course. I'm not done with this yet!

I would not recommend Riverside to provide your care
I went to the ER at around 1-2 pm. It took 5 hours for them to even run a simple urine test. They couldn’t even take a proper blood pressure. Saying my BP was 164/116 as a 26 year old and no one seemed concerned?? It wasn’t until I mentioned I was concerned because that is insanely high that they realized they were using the wrong sized cuff. Around 7 pm they decided to admit me and I wasn’t properly roomed until 11. I first asked to be fed around 6 pm, to which I was told they would get me food. 9 pm I ask again.. no food. 11 pm I ask again.. no food. Now it’s 2 am and still no food and they now refuse to feed me past midnight due to potentially needing a procedure in the morning. Everything takes 10X longer than it should and apparently they starve patients here. Not only do I not feel good, I’m now hangry. I don’t feel confident in my team of providers.

No responsibility management
Very poor services despite they charging heavily.

Very uncompassionate care
My mother came in with a stroke, she has dementia, poor vision, confusion and anxiety. We have an exceptionally trained service dog to help her at home with that. She came with us. Unfortunately the two nurses didn't like my dog. She is trained to bark when someone comes in a door. It is a soft bark warning to my mom. They didn't want her in the room so they said she charged at them which is an AbSoLuTe LIE.!!! And I have a daughter in the room who witnessed they lied to the staff!! My dog was loved and admired by everyone in the waiting room and other nurses. She is a quiet well behaved service dog. They had us leave and take a cab home! Very uncompassionate nurses with a lot of medical gas lighting, condescending comments exchanged for the sincerity about my mother's health I needed. Go find another career choice girls!

Better care from a witch doctor
Worst experience of my life! I could have received better care from a witch doctor in the middle of the amazon. It was so bad that I just walked out and went to another hospital.....where I was treated with more compassion and..... without anyone being argumentative towards me.

Horrible ER experience
Went to Riverside mid-Sept. 2022 due to a blood clot near my chemo port. Already had been diagnosed with a DVT and pulmonary embolisms in lungs at different hospital. Laid in ER bed about 8 hours total (with very little water given). Was given blood thinner medication at about hour 7 and I had to ask the nurse for it. "Didn't the dr. say I was to get a shot?" She said, in a very snotty tone, "I can't give you anything without an order." I said, "He said he'd ordered it." She came back all huffy and gave me a shot. Was told multiple times I may be in the ER for 2 days (yes, 2 days) because no rooms were available. I was given a room that evening, however, I told my oncologist I don't want to go to this hospital again. The ER is horrible. They care so little about treating patients as they should be. Yes, I informed their Customer Care Experience.

Very sad
If you have an emergency, PLEASE do not go to this hospital. After spending 10 hours in the ER waiting room, my boyfriend was told that his condition (kidney failure) wasn’t an “emergency”. They decided that the drunk man who fell was more important than him. Very sad.

HEPA violation
They discharged my elderly father who needs in home care and therapy, with none set up when he was released. I've called several times and have yet to get a call back. When he was discharged, not only did I receive his discharge papers, that gave no information about care or anything useful to help us, we got another patients discharge papers attached to his, which I believe is a HEPA violation. My father is in bad shape and should not have been discharged when he was, he cannot control his bowels which is why I've been calling and if I could give them a 0 I would have. They are terrible. And don't get me talking about how they discharged me years ago when I had a blood disorder which resulted in my having a stroke, and they were asking my husband what they should do. My answer now is stop practicing, close the place down.
