It would be hard for me to recommend this facility
My wife was administered an IV during her pregnancy. The nurse hit her nerve and was very painful. It caused some nerve damage. We had to see multiple specialists for her recovery due to the fault of the nurse. The nurse was also demeaning towards us when my wife broke into tears from the faulty IV. We submitted a complaint with photos. Novant said they did nothing wrong and would not pay for the specialist appointments. It affected her postpartum blues negatively and they were dismissive of us.

DO NOT allow your loved one to go here!!!!
Can't believe the unorganized, dysfunctional operations at this facility. I am appalled. To think they are responsible for patients care with Traumatic Brain Injuries is a terrifying reality. They had no idea what was going on the entire time. We had to update each Doctor, Nurse at each shift change because the chart never reflected the history or they didn't bother to look. Family member in Neuro ICU for a week deemed medically incompetent to make medical decisions...moved to regular room treated as an addict of narcotics (which were only in his system because the hospital that transferred him there gave them to him) said ready to discharge. We even told them he was deemed by them med incompetent and couldn't leave on his own accord...call back for update and told he isn't a patient there. No idea where he is or what happened to him.

DONT come here
I have literally been in the waiting room for over 8 hours to be seen. So unprofessional and inconsiderate. If I could give zero stars I would.

I was sent there from another hospital for a test and when they brought me to my room to recover from anesthesia it was filthy.. they left an in shunt in my other arm had to ask them to remove it before I left… took a couple of photos documenting how unclean the room was! I hope I never have to go back there again.

I have been here 13 hours in the ED and still haven’t seen a doctor. My primary sent me with paperwork ahead of me. So far the staff I have interacted have been and uncaring.

I had the worst delivery experience ever
After coming home I found out that my friends said they would never delivery in Presbyterian hospital. I came to the hospital when the pain was unbearable, the staff let me walk and used the elevator without offering a wheelchair. She walked me to. 8th floor and said “its one of them coming”? Same as the lady at the front desk, she saw that I could not stand but still asked a lot of questions and did not even care to give me a wheelchair first. I had to ask for one. There were 3 people there and nobody care. I came inside the room, and it was horrible. All of the nurse acted like I bothered them, they treated me with attitude and not even a nice gesture to calm me down. I felt scared so scared. I wanted to get out and go to different hospital but I knew I didn’t have enough time. None of the nurses went over the pain relief options with me. They only asked for epidural. And I said Im prefer that. Please give me pain relief, when else do you have? They didn’t bother to answer. The doctor said I had two babies already I would give birth soon. But after that she said why I don't want epidural, she said that that I could not remember now, but she also had attitude when talking to me as well. She said if she gave me pain relief my baby will come out not breathing???? But after that she gave me pain relief. The doctor also put the plastic on her shoes and did not wash hands after that. The blanket that I had when delivered still have dirt on it. My husband told me that he felt horrible drove me to this hospital. The nurse name Channel H., I asked her what am O waiting for? because I felt like my baby will come out soon, and I was in great pain. She said:” what do you mean?” and I explained could you ask the doctor if I can have some pain relief or can I start pushing now? She said ok I will go ask her. After that the doctor came and I gave birth so fast after that. I was wondering if I didn’t ask how long do they wanted to torture me, no comforting, no pain relief? After I delivered my baby, the nurse Channel made me walk to bathroom and change and wash. It hurted my both legs so bad and I still had the pain until now. The pain on the inner of my legs are unbearable and every time I walked I felt like I messed up my legs. I remembered when I was in pain I cried to my husband and said I don’t deserve to get treat this way. I thought this is the best maternity hospital. But no, it was the worst experience I have ever had in my whole life with doctors and nurses. The after care was ok, the nurse manager was the one who made me felt better. After talking to her I felt I got treated better. Thanks to that. There were still a lot of things but I could not remember to say. I was very disappointed and sad. This made me felt more sorrow, depressed and sad after leaving the hospital. I dont deserve to get treated this way. Nothing like the maternity introduction on the hospital website

Really a crime how they handle seriously ill patients
Having the most horrific experience with this hospital. My husband has been here several times only to leave and develop life threatening sepsis twice. Trying to get out now with lengthy red tape holding us up. Very uneasy about the inefficient home health care being ordered. Husband has a drain that needs attention twice a day they are offering maybe once a week. Really a crime how they handle seriously ill patients. If ineffective aftercare results in an infection we will hold them responsible as should Medicare.

Y’all need to do better.
If you’re dying DO NOT come here. Idk if they only have 1 doctor on shift but the wait is ridiculous. There was only 5 other ppl in the waiting room when I came in. Literally been checked in for hours and still don’t have any help or reason for my initial visit. Y’all need to do better.

Recommend not going to this hospital if at all possible
I have never had more of a bad attitude and rudeness from nurses than I've had at Presbyterian hospital.... There is no excuse for rudeness to the family of the patients. My mother was in the hospital for two weeks out of those two weeks we probably had two great nurses out of eight. If you want to avoid the rudeness then hit the button and wait 30 minutes. Do not leave the room and ask questions cause that seems to be what triggers the rudeness.
