Patient Relations are very dismissive for over a year
My experience as a patient at Bellevue Hospital has been extremely stressful for many years. My pain and other concerns has not been taken seriously by my primary doctor (Slavin) and the specialist I have seen here. I have tried for almost a year to get assistance from Patient Relations and they are, unfortunately, very dismissive. They also have a serious issue with their phone system and front desk staff are sometimes rude. I wish I could easily go somewhere else for services and better support.

It’s nothing but a waste of money and sheer torture
This is absolutely the worst hospital I’ve ever been to in my life! The doctors and nurses have terrible service attitudes and are very uncooperative in communication. Medical efficiency is abysmally low. I was forced to wait for over ten hours. Even when there were no other patients left, we were still made to wait endlessly. No one informed us how long we would have to wait, and patients couldn’t even eat properly. The staff completely ignore patients’ needs, with slow, sluggish and inefficient work.

Bellevue Hospital is horrible!!! Bellevue is cheap!!!
Im in Bellevue, and i have Polio in remission. Yet they give n e diabetes medicine, and it makes me so drowsy, I can hardly wake up. I ask fir something sweet to keep my sugar from going low, otherwise i dont know what would happen.Metformin gives me the runs. I keep telling them ,I have Polio, and they keep giving me the Metformin, and they stand there and watch me take it. I had foot surgery, so I can't just walk out of here like that. Don't come here, Bellevue is the worst!!! They want to stick my fingers and im a guitar player, and i use picks and my fingers. My blood sugar are always between 70 and 90.

My advice is to avoid this hospital at all costs!!!!
I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The facilities are uninviting, reminiscent of a prison. My boyfriend was rushed here after a terrible accident and had a dreadful experience, especially on the 15th floor north. Despite requiring emergency surgery, the hospital repeatedly delayed the procedure, which ultimately was not performed. We were relieved when he was transferred to a much better hospital.

Negligence
My brother caught a stroke and came here for help. Over 3 hours later no CT, no MRI and no update. I’m standing right next to him with a lopsided face and speech impairment, and still no help. They are too busy taking care of someone with vaginal discharge.

They just don’t care
Unfortunately I live in another country so I cannot get there and have been waiting for over 3 hours trying to know the status of my brother who is admitted here. I keep getting transferred from one department to another and told to call later and wait on hold. This is ridiculously sad. It shows that the staff at this hospital do not care about their patients. I have been telling everyone that I just want to know if my brother is alive and they just don’t care.

The staph he got was more painful than his cancer
A stressed out doctor came over to my Dad with loose tubing equipment, soon after he had severe drug resistant staph. Thanks a lot. He died in pain from the staph.

These people lost my property and personal documents
Then acted like I was never there on the EDS that morning
