Would not admit a dog to this hospital
My husband with advanced dementia was admitted to ER with pneumonia and was returned to memory care days later after being in ER. Day 3 after release he was he was admitted to St Catherine Sienna from memory care with pneumonia still, sepsis and renal failure. Does this happen with a Thursday night dropoff and Sunday he gets admitted again? I question his release and care

Wait time was outrageous
2 people before my cousin needed medication, never got it and they left. my cousin waited 8 hours since nearly 2am and 10am for what they needed and still never got it .. all they said was to wait that the doctor was coming and nobody came. worst service ever and mind you he had a broken arm with terrible pain and was swelling bad, was literally an emergency. honestly this hospital would only take you serious if you’re in labor, at this point close to death, or if it’s from an abulance call and it shouldn’t be this way. i recommend do not waste your time going here because you’ll be waiting hours for literally nothing and won’t recieve the medication or anything.

I now see what they only have 2 stars from The SafeCare Group
This place is one step up from a homeless shelter. All the building they are doing and you are basically left in a hallway for close to 2 days till they find you a bed. Aside from being set up next to people who are under arrest and the police are watching them or an emotional distressed person screaming the entire time. Next time I’ll go to Bellevue if I want to be exposed to that insanity. Never again!!

I don't recommend it
I went to South shore hospital ER on 9/25/25 for pneumonia, dizziness + trouble chewing and walking. I was admitted to the hospital itself on 9/26. This hospital is mismanaged. When I asked a question they told me info on it and walked away before I could ask them questions about what they told me. This happened many times. They don't care if you have dizziness + trouble chewing and walking that keep getting worse. 2 nurses there actually scolded me for having trouble breathing.

The Labor and delivery department is terrible.
I went after a MVA attending came in for 2 minutes and refused to give me a note to stay home from work for 1 day after a car accident that I had pain as a result from. Wasn't going to leave a review and I won't go into detail about my other 2 experiences being admitted to the L/d unit but those experiences were bad as well

I would not choose to be here again
I was in the ER and felt nursed level of expertise and bedside manners were subpar. I had a side day stay and the bathroom was not cleaned. The entire inpatient wing felt old and a bit dirty.
