Fix the mental health system for Trident Medical Center
Someone I know was taken here for an undisclosed mental reason, after waiting in the ER room myself with zero communication from nurses apart from the patients real-time texts; there was none. After multiple hours (7+) of waiting I was finally given their belongings. Whilst in there they told me that multiple of the nurses mocked their name and made fun of them regardless of their calm attitude towards them showing respect, they're reluctant to give care until they had to beg basically and even after telling them they would communicate with me they failed to do so, having me wait longer when they were not going to be released that night. They recalled many of the patients in there screaming begging for help from the nurses and not receiving any if they did they were told to "shut up" and hush. They had to wait three more hours before being told they were transferring them to live oak mental health center. If you have a loved one and care about them do not take them here they will not be given proper care if any at all. A serious crackdown needs to be done about this it's ridiculous and completely uncalled for, I've already filed a complaint to the South Carolina department of public health about the situation. If no action is seen taken within the next month it will be worse. People need to be fired not corrected it's ridiculous and disgusting.

I could drop names to warn other patients but I won't for now
Some nurses seem quite childlike, and I question how they got into this profession. While I understand that being a nurse can be stressful, especially with low staffing, there is still no excuse for being disrespectful to patients when they are in their most vulnerable state. I hope something is done about this issue, but I doubt it. I feel bad for patients who don't have devoted family members to watch over them, as some nurses may mistreat and disrespect them when they think they are alone.

I'll try hard not to go there
My husband was in trident for 6 days, the ER was great, nurses were awesome, then moved to ICU again everyone was great, the care he got was great. Then he was moved to a room , not so great, he was left in his poop in bed for an hr and a half nobody answered his call. They seem to forget patients when they're in regular rooms. Nurses need to be more attentive, it's not right for for anyone to be left in poop.

REMEMBER- Trident Hospital is FOR-PROFIT
Worst experience ever when dealing with my father’s health problems. I wish he had never gone here and had opted to go to MUSC or Roper Hospital. Not to mention the other times we have had to use Trident Hospital because of the close proximity/ambulance. I do not trust this hospital within an inch of my life.
