HCA needs to be investigated
My wife was 22 weeks pregnant when I brought her here because she was bleeding real bad and it was the closet hospital to us. They wheeled her upstairs and the nurses were very unprofessional. They couldn't find stuff and hardly ever checked on her. As my wife continued to bleed out, they wanted to make sure they got her insurance information before they would attempt to give her any kind of care. After about 30min we started asking when will we see the doctor and they said they only had ONE doctor and he is dealing with more serious patients that's in labor. My wife was bleeding out as if that wasn't emergency enough. My wife laid in the bed for TWO hours bleeding out and a doctor NEVER came to see about her. The nurses bairly checked on her. I kept hearing the outside the door laughing and joking. After 2 hours enough was enough. I told them we are leaving since my wife bleeding out is not emergency enough for them. They tried to make her sign a paper saying we are refusing care but how can we refuse care when we haven't gotten any. We didn't sign anything. Since I wanted to SAVE my wife and my child's life, they didn't even have the respect and dignity to at least wheel chair her out. My wife had to walk out the hospital with blood dripping down her legs. When I finally got her to St. Lukes in the Woodlands, they immediately took care of her. My wife had to have emergency surgery in order to stop the bleeding. She also had to have 2 blood transfusions because of how much HCA allowed her to bleed out and not see about her. The doctors and nurses and St. Luke was puzzled on how HCA treated her and didn't understand why they didn't take my wife serious. The bleeding she experienced was life threatening and St. Lukes took the appropriate care and time into saving her and my wife's life. If it wasn't for me or St. Luke, my wife nor my child probably wouldnt be here. Who knows on how many people that died that could of been saved if they were not under HCA's care. Best believe this issue is being escalated!!!!

If you value your health, dont come here
Horrible. False diagnosis and obsessions with cramming illnesses into my medical records. There was no ZERO star options.

Nurse told me 'not to keep on calling her as I bothered her too many time'
I was at 4cm dilate when I was in Hospital. Nurse came and sign the documents from me to get epidural and then shifted me to next room for the delivery. I asked nurses so many times when they will give me epidural but they keep on telling me that the doctors are busy attending other patients who are delivering baby. Nurse said that all the doctors are busy and told me to bear the pain. Finally I delivered baby without epidural. It was really bad experience to bear so much pain without epidural. Also 1st night in hospital, I had to call nurse when I needed help. Next day same nurse came and told me 'not to keep on calling her as I bothered her too many time last night'. Also, she said to dress up in my own clothes and keeping walking when I was in pain. When I asked for water and coffee, she told me to go and get it.

Reported to collections agency after requesting itemized bill
Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any medical center. We received a notice for services rendered 9 months previous with a week to pay it. We called and requested an itemized bill, which we haven't received, which we've waited for approximately 3 weeks. Today we get a call from a collections agency demanding payment in full. We have 800+ credit and have never felt so disgusted with an organization. I would avoid this place at all cost.

This place is a joke.
You wait days to have a test done because the tech has time off and you have to wait till they come back. In the mean time the hospital milks your insurance company with unnecessary testing and sitting in a room. And the food is like eating dogfood with salt on it. Stay away from if you can travel farther to go to a better hospital that actually cares about the patients and does something about why you are there in the first place!

This hospital ruined my life!
I can't even participate in my children's lives like the active parent I once was. Left me with a leaking ostomy bag and refused to correct their mistake. I've had to lay flat on my back for the last 45 days and it doesn't help. No other hospital wants to touch me because of the condition HCA NORTHWEST left me in. A charge nurse actually told me I could not come back to that hospital. There was time before the procedure to send me somewhere else if insurance was a big thing. They chose to operate on me knowing I had no insurance. The wound care nurse Kim is absolutely amazing but there is so much she can do. Dr saddiqi completely ignored me. The surgeons dismissed me. If I could rate lower I will! I hate this hospital. My anxiety has been at an all time high because of them!

They are not a caring or ethical organization
Some of the staff were rude. We submitted our out of state Medicaid and they did not tell us they don’t accept it. Then we submitted a form for financial assistance, and AFTER they received it, they decided to send the bill to collections without processing the application. Their ethics are very questionable, and after all that, they refused to work with us at all when I called them.

Sent me a bill for $2100 after telling me my insurance would cover it
Ask for a summary of charges before any procedures. I went for a routine colonoscopy, was told that Aetna would cover the fees for a routine procedure. A month later, the hospital sent me a bill for $2100. Guess that's my fault for not getting it in writing.
