Memorial Hermann "transparent pricing" seems to include surprise bills
"At Memorial Hermann, we’re committed to providing you with transparent pricing so you can make meaningful comparisons about the health care you receive and identify any potential out-of-pocket costs. Through our good faith price estimate tool, you can interact with your insurance company to determine your actual out-of-pocket expense based on your current deductible and health plans benefits. This will provide you with the best good faith estimate." So anybody want to tell me why I have now had two procedures where I received a "transparent pricing" phone call and was told "what my out of pocket" costs would be. I paid said costs. And yet I have continued to receive bills. One would expect when they are told "transparent pricing" by a hospital that that would be their TOTAL expected out of cost. Instead, their "transparent pricing" seems to include surprise bills which they don't bother mentioning in their transparent pricing.

It’s extortion
Do not go here. I had bone sticking out of my finger and waited 2 hours to see someone. They also charged $2000 for x-rays.

I’m thinking malpractice suit
I was recently in this hospital and everyone there treated me like I was a moron who didn’t have my sanity- they were cruel they didn’t care about my health needs and they didn’t let me talk to my family - as a matter of fact they told my family they couldn’t find me in the system - I wish I had photos but they wouldn’t let me have a phone - they monitored my every move - and I have never been more humiliated in my life with my stay at this place. When they moved me to the sixth floor I heard my neighbor begging for them to stop yanking his collar because he kept falling on the leash anchor- this hospital is completely disgusting and I’d rather die than give them the grace to handle my precious body again

Sat at desk playing on their phone while my mom spilling blood onto the floor
My parents came into the emergency room via ambulance after they were attacked by a dog, both suffering severe injuries. My mother with an obvious broken arm and pouring blood from her wounds along with my father pouring blood from his wounds.You would have thought it was a scene from a horror movie, the way my parents were spilling blood onto the floor underneath them essentially creating a biohazard. It took the hospital 5 hours to see my parents, they sat in the freezing cold waiting room my mother wearing close to nothing having lost major amounts of blood enduring extreme amounts of pain, meanwhile the hospital staff sat at a desk playing on their phone. The nurse on staff wouldn’t even give my parents as much as a blanket and when I went to ask for one I was met with nothing but disrespect and rudeness. I have never experienced so much unprofessionalism from any hospital staff and I cannot stress this enough DO NOT COME HERE!

I still have not received a phone call nor a follow from the hospital
This Review is strictly for labor and delivery, May 9th I came in due to having some contractions and vomiting, I’m 33 weeks pregnant. Once I got there the doctors checked me seen I was 0 cm dilated gave me one bag of fluids nausea medicine. Checked me an hour later, I was still out of it I could barely get up. Yet they still sent me home. Imagine driving home pregnant nauseated while still having contractions that the hospital was aware of. Once I returned home I laid down, for 3 hours straight I had back to back contractions with vomiting. I was rushed to Houston Methodist willow brook. I was examined and had become 3 1/2 cm dilated. Due to the carelessness of the nurses and doctors at this hospital I was hospitalized for 4 days to stop my contractions and to cure me of a Bacterial Gastroenteritis.

If something happens to my father we will sue
They discharged my father who was in severe umbilical hernia pain today which I'm sure is about to rupture. (This thing is at least sticking out of him 4 inches.) Just to go see a doctor to schedule a surgery.... How does this even make any sense? My dad has Medicare which I stated to the nurse. He wasn't in as much pain when they discharged him because they gave him morphine..... do better MH!!!

I should have read the reviews before driving here.
I Gave Memorial Hermann another opportunity. This was the second time at the ER it was last year at the Woodlands location. This crazy ER doctor looked like he just came from the beach “Actually he was talking so loud asking did my doctor sent me here not sure if he was drunk. I will never step foot in the Memorial Herman Hospital. If I ever needed an emergency not here!! It was horrible!! experience. I guess I like coming to the ER according to this ER Doctor I'm a a creature of habit, and I'm still feeling sick.

Received a 13K visit for the ER
I'm definitely never coming back or referring. I came for an ER visit and felt very unsatisfied with the visit. To make matters worse, I then received a 13K visit for the ER because the registration office failed to use the insurance I had provided them at the time of my services. Calling the billing department for the last 2 days on hold for an average of 45 minutes to an hour and a half and no one answers or picks up the line. So I ended up having to drive back to the hospital from my work to reach a very sweet lady named Rosie who helped me sort out the hospital bill, but then informed me that likely I'd be receiving three additional bills that are not controlled by the hospital because my insurance was never appropriately updated. If this is the type of experience the hospital wants for their patients.

They wouldn’t let me check out of the hospital
AVOID this Hospital if you can. I spent 4 days here for a rare condition that was found called intestinal malrotation. No doctor knew what to do and I even tried to get transferred to another memorial hospital because the doctors and surgeon had no advice and they refused. They wouldn’t let me check out of the hospital claiming that I was a liability. They handed me a packed with no referrals to anyone who could help. I had to do my own research and found a specialty doctor due to 1 nurse that was very helpful with helping me obtain the paperwork about my condition. If you are in need of help or have a serious condition please avoid this hospital they will not assist you properly.

You do better treating your love one's at home
They are non empathic and full of lies. Deserves zero stars everyone I know gives bad reviews of this place including past staff. If I knew sooner my family would have avoided this trash like the plague
