I wished I had never taken my husband to Texas Health Arlington
My husband was admitted to Arlington Memorial Hospital on November 19-December 3rd, he was in bad shape and I thought he was going to die. His room was directly across from the nurses station and I watched most of the nurses watching my husband struggling to breathe and no one would help him. They had this young tech go in my husbands room at seven in the morning to clean his catheter. I came in and asked what she was doing she was not a nurse to be touching my husbands private parts and he had a serious infection. I talked to the head nurse and she’s going to tell me they are teaching techs to clean catheters. I was really upset, because my husband was very sick and instead of her asking if he would like a wash cloth to clean his face or brush his teeth it was more important to clean his penis at seven in the morning. And for the head nurse to agree with this young girl messing with a 74 year old man who has a very serious bladder and kidney infection with no medical knowledge at all. And to top it off the catheter started leaking and the nurse had to take it out and put in a new one. So maybe let medical professionals take care of medical needs and PCT do what they are suppose to do They released my husband on Dec 3rd, when I got there to get him my husband was laying across the bed gasping for breath. No one even tried to see about him. I asked the nurse to call the Dr and have him give him a X-ray because my husband couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t understand why they were discharging him. He had more fluid built up in his lungs yet they still released him. I took him home and three hours later my husband passed out and he was unconscious. I called the ambulance and they took him to Charlton Methodist Hospital. By the time I got there they said my husband had double pneumonia and blood clots in his lungs. They wanted to know why Arlington Memorial discharged him in this condition. I told them I didn’t know I asked them the same thing. My husband is now on Hospice. I feel they should have took better care of him and not let so many young girls touching medical things on patients when they are not nurses or a medical person. And maybe the Head nurse should have been more compassionate and the nurses in taking care of my husband. Also, i blame the hospitalist Doctors because we had four Dr while my Husband was there they didn’t even know what they were doing. The kidney specialist the cardiologist and the therapy people were awesome. But they need to get one Hospitalist Doctor to follow their patients, and some of the nurses were very caring but a lot of them didn’t care they saw my husband struggling to breathe and they could have cared less.

Absolutely horrible emergency room care!
Daughter has deep laceration in wrist as well as a couple fractures. They preformed a ct scan and found some tendons damaged which cause lose of two fingers. They wrapped it in a soft cast, then referred her to a hand surgeon who doesn’t accept her insurance. Went back up there, and was told pretty much, tough to figure it out. They had very unknowledgeable nurses caring for her as well as Doctors being called into the room, yet asking where that area of the e hospital even was. Then come to find out, they wrapped it completely wrong and had already thrown the casting away. Not happy AT ALL with this crappy, unskilled, unprofessional hospital and its staff

My uncle is gone
Please choose a different hospital for yourself and loved ones. The ER told the doctor that he had heart failure but the doctor says to my uncle, “have you ever had heart problems before?” And when my uncle said “no” the doctor dismisses what the ER says and tells my uncle that if he’s never had heart issues then he doesn’t need to worry about it. Less than a day later, my uncle went into cardiac arrest and passed. And you know what’s crazy, nobody would have known that he passed if my mother wouldn’t have been there to bring him clothes. My mom had to go and tell the staff herself that something was happening. They had no clue in the world that he was going into cardiac arrest in his room. No idea. My mom had to run and get them. Who knows how long my uncles body would have been there alone before they gave a damn to give him some type of attention/care. And then they were careless and didn’t communicate to his funeral home that the body had been examined already and could be released. They gonna say to my mom otp, “we thought another supervisor did it already”…like what? No communication, no care, no thought…no nothing. Just dismissed. Just awful

Very inexperienced with the gerontology side
When it comes to dealing with the elderly a lot of the doctors are new and Young very unfriendly like to experiment on their patients using them like Lab rats send them anywhere but here NOT compassionate lack empathy the communication is KEY to understanding successful PATIENTS OUTCOMES

My labor and delivery was the worse experience here ever
The nurses made rude comments about my back while struggling to walk to the restroom after having the baby . The food was awful. Was also denied for a machine to pump since I physically can’t really breastfeed and didn’t have mine yet. I will stick with MCA in the future

If you are a person of color do not come here
Or bring your loved ones here, you will not receive quality care, or have options for your treatment, recovery.

The whole hospital needs to just be shut down
Absolutely, positively the worst hospital I've ever been to. Went in to the ER 35 weeks pregnant with chest pains, backaches, and stomach cramps. The male ER supervisor came out to tell me that LABOR AND DELIVERY REFUSED ME?!?!?! Like, what? The poor ER nurse was trying to get me through, but I just ended up walking out. They are understaffed.
