I left as I was not receiving appropriate care
I presented to the emergency department with severe neck and back pain. After being placed in a cervical collar, I was left in a hallway chair for several hours without a call light. I informed the nurse that sitting in the chair with the neck brace was making my pain significantly worse. I was given hot compresses but remained in the chair without meaningful reassessment or a treatment plan. I ultimately left because I felt my pain was worsening.

I NEED MY LAB RESULTS
Pretty bad when your results are available to you the next day but your portal won’t allow you to log in to get the results and when you call SIX days later, you’re told that your doctor has to give you your results, which doesn’t make sense, SINCE I’M THE PATIENT. I was placed on hold and then DISCONNECTED!!!! NOT REAL HAPPY!!!!

Would not recommend Ballad to anyone!
As far as Im concerned my mother and father would still be here if they had a clue as to what they were doing. Not truthful about things. No communication between Drs. Supposedly did tests in July pertaining to an incident but in December they had no records of any tests being done. She was in the hospital for two weeks with symptoms that were plain to see were heart related. Then decide to put a pacemaker in after two weeks and the morning of decide hey maybe we should check for blockages. One 98% blocked one was 94%. That was on a friday morning and she passed two days later. My father was at the Elizabethton Ballad they are the same.

This is the filthiest hospital Ive ever seen in my 60 yrs of life!!!
A particular nurse on the PCU floor/wing named Alyson left my husband and disappeared so that nobody could find her when my husband's blood pressure shot up to 191/101 just 2 days after having a lobectomy in the middle of the night. She took his blood pressure, said she would be right back and we never saw her after that. I had to go get another nurse to help him. I would not ever suggest taking your loved one to this hospital... not if you care anything at all for them. I know I won't ever take my loved ones there again...NEVER!!!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Not a good experience. I was sent by my GP to ER. Wasn't seen for 2 hours. I understand they take people in order of priority. They said blood work was normal. And there wasn't anything they could do. I got upset and was not kind at all. They brought back a Dr. At that point who said we can keep you but we won't do anything. When I asked for discharge papers if they weren't going to do anything the NP or whatever she was(she never identified her qualifications and she and the Dr. Had their badges turned around) got very nasty with my husband and myself. At this point she wanted to do a physical exam and I told her she did not have my permission to touch me. They sent someone to pull the IV had me sign discharge papers and I left the hospital and papers there. I have a my chart. As soon as I got to the car my chart started to alert me. Contrary to what I was told my blood work was not normal. In addition to that. I noticed the discharge nurse they sent in put a not about my walk to the parking lot with my husband. Which was untrue. A quick review of the security footage would show this woman lied. Further more the rude dismissve NP that I originally had put a not that I was verbally aggressive. If telling someone in the medical field that you do not trust because of their behavior is considered aggressive I think the system needs to be re evaluated. I did not feel heard or cared for by the staff in the back for the 10 minutes we interacted. I would not recommend Taylor or Ben. They both need to learn that patient care starts with actually seeing the patient. I am not a chart full of numbers and tests. I am a human being who was and still is in a considerable amount of pain. They took zero time to be people. Taylor keept insisting to my husband she was the medical professional, she was doing her job, and was disrespectful and rude as all get out to him. I think a compassion and how to talk to people train should be held. I shouldn't be surprised this is how Major health care works. When you are worried about sending someone in for a copay before I have even been seen by a doctor maybe we need to re evaluate what you are doing. BALLAD JCMC do better. You charge enough to my insurance and me what I experienced was not OK.

absolutely awful experience with the emergency room
nurses were very inattentive and doctor did not seem to care much about what was going on. floors and walls were dirty. saw a nurse letting someone’s gown drag the floor before giving it to them to put on.

Wrong billing
My bill was denied at BCBS because their participation provider did things they should not have.
