I’ve been here for 9 hrs total before I left
Worst hospital experience ever. I had a tooth infection and was in excruciating pain for 6 hrs before anybody even came to check on me. It takes less than 10 mins to bring something for pain. Worst hospital ever. They do not care about your pain. They are understaffed. They can come in and have me sign bills but couldn’t bring pain medicine. Then when they finally came he just examined and was finto give me a prescription. He wasn’t finna give me anything for pain right then and there until I asked. I will never come to this hospital again. Terrible hospital

I don't know why my wife died 9/13/2025 here
Dr never communicated to me that my wife was sick enough to die. I am unsure what was going on with life support. I am totally unhappy with Baptist East ICU Unit. The way my wife’s case was handled was totally unacceptable.

It was torture
Most of the nurses and staff are horrid. The doctor couldn’t find what was wrong with me after three days of being there. He repetitively insisted that I was either having meth withdrawals or that my pain was from anxiety which it was not.The nurses straight up degraded me, and if they weren’t rude they ignored me and got mad at the fact that I was literally hyperventilating from the pain. I was left crying in pain in the hallway several times and they refused to give me meds for the pain as-well. Not to mention the people who gave me a cat scan were extremely rude considering it was hard for me to move around because I had just had surgery and afterwards they left me in the hall for more than an hour. Each time I have the symptoms they held off on giving pain meds I assume because they think I'm some sort of addict. The direct result being that I had to sit in agonizing pain for no reason, so naturally I'm not going to just sit in my pain, but when I went to leave they of course had to let me know if I did leave that I would be charged for it. So I basically just had to sit in excruciating pain, I got denied pain meds when I asked. If you have any issues with pain I recommend you don't go here, if they don't just outright refuse to help you, they will come back hours after you need meds so there's no point. When asking a nurse for pain meds she refused because she " has other people who need meds too." They pick and choose who they want to take seriously and obviously I wasn't lucky. If you’re a woman I would avoid this hospital, you will be left in pain and nurses get upset at you just by asking for things like water. I was screaming in pain for three days and they refused to help me, the doctor tried to recommend me a psychiatrist for my pain, even though I said multiple times I was not anxious and it wasn’t a panic attack, I was physically hurting. Eventually he gave up and sent me home with pain meds and said there’s nothing he could do. They do not care about their patients.

Terrible service
They left me in a hallway in a bed for hours until I got up and said I was leaving.

I had a negative experience here
Firstly, I never knew what was going on, they sat me in a room and brought me places and I never knew who was coming next or when. Secondly, they had someone in training there who told me I needed to change into a gown. I was in a tiny room that had a door that had a window taking up about a third of it. There was no privacy at all, anyone could look in on me changing, just for them to come in afterwards to tell me that he was training and I did not actually have to wear a gown and I could put my clothes back on. They also ended up basically only talking to me about my mental health when I was there because I was concerned I may have had a concussion. I was not told anything about what was going on with my actual physical health, just given a packet of papers, a pill, and a shot. I was on my way home after 6 1/2 hours. There was nothing to do the entirety of my time there other than stare at a wall because they did not even have cell service.

I would not recommend this ER to anyone for any reason
It’s dirty, the staff don’t want to communicate, and they are very slow. Terrible traits for an emergency room.

That was absolutely one of the worst ER experiences I've ever had
I went in with a head injury from a fall where I was actively bleeding and they made me sit in the waiting room for hours without being seen and all that was done was blood work which was pointless and given a tetanus shot. My symptoms were a headache, neck pain, dizziness, nausea, I constantly felt like I was gonna pass out and they still moved at the pace of a snail to render me necessary care, which they failed at providing. No concussion protocol testing was done and the female Dr on call refused to do a CT scan because she said it was not necessary, even though my daughter and myself both requested one to be done and the Dr still refused. I've been dealing with a headache since I fell and just haven't felt right. I managed to get into my primary care Dr did a complete physical which the ER Dr never did and he also checked my eyes and said I absolutely have a concussion and also immediately ordered a CT scan.
