I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment my family received in the ER
My mother arrived by ambulance screaming in pain, while my father — who has major heart and blood pressure issues — was physically struggling from the stress of the situation. Instead of showing compassion, Amber the nurse was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacked empathy. She refused to work with us, laughed and smiled during the situation, and even refused nausea medication for my mother while she was actively vomiting because she was “already being discharged.” Another nurse thankfully stepped in and helped us. No family should ever be treated this way during a medical emergency. This situation will not be ignored or brushed aside. I fully intend to continue reporting this matter because healthcare workers should never treat patients and families with such cruelty and disrespect.

Their ER needs to be managed efficiently
Waited for over 3 hours and then walked out to an urgent care. They take people’s vulnerability for granted. I think you will get better care at LBJ or Ben Taub ER than here. Don’t waste your time. If you are really about to die, then they will probably take you seriously.

Absolutely ridiculous!
Went to take my wife to the ER and after having to go through the metal detector twice they said nobody was allowed to wait with the patient.

I never saw a doctor during my admission
I recently had a stay at Houston Methodist Hospital, and I was quite surprised and concerned that I never saw a doctor during my admission. From the moment I arrived in my room until my discharge, I didn't have a single interaction with a physician. I'm left feeling confused about my treatment plan and who was overseeing my care.

I am not letting what happen to me slide
Honestly I was given 7 bags of blood and literally wouldn't give me life saving surgery and Iam still bleeding and nothing is being done. And my BP dropped after leaving and the Dr. There almost killed me and the nurse a month ago gave me a shot and gave me possible nerve damage this is honestly a joke of a director there. She only says sorry and nothing about compensation or we can settle outta court bc your arm will take 6 to 8 months to heal that's not ok. Take accountability and compensate me not leave me n bleeding n my arm ain't the same. Worse stuff that has ever happened to me this is why I should always bring a loved one bc people lie and don't accept accountability but this hospital will.

Why dont you focus on making sure patients get the care they deserve
I cannot stand the hypocrisy of some managers in this place. It is so palpable. I cant imagine how the nurses can stand whoever he/she is. Ive seen how the rns,pcas work at 6w. They work hard although not the best. Most of the time employees are not able to reach their full potential bec they do not have a leader to look up to. Im aware that floor has a manager but geez he/she does not know how to lead!there is a big difference between a manager and leader. And as far as this place is concerned, the gap is huge! Mam/sir whoever you are, you need to look at people like human beings. They are not slaves and mind you, you are not a big of a deal either. Your title does not make you great or the best. Whoever represents Houston Methodist leadership, i hope you really look at the people that you put in these kind of positions. Coz honestly, the attitude of people in that spec floor is horrible! and it makes me wonder why. I would never recommend a family member to go here! not a chance.

Released without my wallet and somewhere is mySSI card with my driver license
What did they expect emergency for almost 8 hours then they lost after I got to the room. 2 days in the meantime when they released me I wasn't released with my wallet and hairbrush. I get the runaround when I call up there to different departments. No one knows where it's at. I had all my important papers and photo copy of my credit cards, shot records, diver license social security card. No one seem to know where It's at I'm frustrated being sent to different departments and not knowing anything . I'm not happy because somewhere is my social security card with my driver license number. Although I can drive a vehicle equipped with hand control. No one seems to know nothing. I'm not happy with this hospital

I spent 2.5 hours in the ER and received over $4000 bill
Stay away from this hospital - they increased the ER room charge. I spent 2.5 hours in the ER and received over 4 thousand dollars bill just for medical emergency room service. Unless life and death situation, I'm not coming to this hospital again. God help us!
