Billing department is disgusting
I am new to Atlanta and to Northside Hospital. The care I have received from their doctors and technicians is wonderful. However, the billing department at Northside Hospital leaves a lot to be desired. When you get them on the phone they are nice and polite but basically seem to read script cards. If anyone is required to think or go beyond their pay level, everything just shuts down. People do not return phone calls, they ignore letter. and apparently no really knows what to do. The Northside Hospital billing department simply kicks the can down the road. Not sure if this department is contracted out, but there should be a major customer service intervention here. So sad and disguising. We deserve better than this Northside.

$1500 for what again?
This place is terrible. My wife brought our daughter here accidentally thinking it was CHOA which is within walking distance. The attending physician realized she was in the wrong place in the first 5 minutes of seeing her and sent them on their way. They sent us a bill for $1500 on the basis that she was 'evaluated.'

EXPECTANT MOTHERS BEWARE
If I could give this hospital a negative review I would! For starters they have an arrogant OBGYN and possibly many more. The OB whom i encountered on June 2nd at 1pm violated my client and treated her inhumanly. The hospital did not have any bed available, dad called to let them know we were on our way with a mama who was feeling pushy. They could have told him they had no rooms and to go elsewhere. Instead they didn't say anything, told mom she needed to birth in an OR where the violent arrogant OB, DR. REGINALD PEEK!!!! EXPECTANT MOTHERS BEWARE REMEMBER HIS NAME!!! Dr. PEEK While he was leaving the OR another Dr walked out with him state "you causing trouble?" he jokingly said, "I try not to" if they joke around like that with people around idk what else they do.

Appalling 6 hours ER wait for bleeding, 7 month pregnant woman
A high risk, bleeding, 7 month pregnant woman has to wait 6 HOURS to be given a room. Extreme pain and difficulty to walk, no wheel chair offered. I had to follow up with the front desk to see when the room would be available, never had an estimated time. You would think that in case of an emergency like this you would at least be seen within the first hour but, no. Arrival was 10PM, was not given a room until 4AM. I am absolutely appalled with the service that has been received.

Made me feel worthless
As someone who had gone to an ER 3 times in 24 years, they made me feel worthless. I was ordered by a doctor to go immediately to Northside. They had called on my behalf and knew a doctor on call there. I was supposed to have a scan. When I arrived they treated me like I was wasting their time. They messed my IV so blood sprayed all over me and they never acknowledged it, cleaned it up, or stopped it from leaking. After they “fixed my IV”, it was half hanging out of my arm. The doctor then came it with no solution and very condescending. Will never return.

Not right
Waited 8 hours no doctor came to visit my room in the ER. Nurse came 2 times ONLY because I complained about my pain.

Worst billing practices
Northside Hospital's billing department and billing practices are the worst. You will be billed incorrectly, double billed, requested to pay in full in advance of certain procedures (and then will have to fight like hell to get refunded once insurance is billed). I am shocked that they mess up literally EVERY time I use their hospital and radiology services. Northside Hospital's billing practices are the reason healthcare has such a bad reputation!

IT WAS A NIGHTMARE
This is the worst place Northside Atlanta to deliver a baby. The Staff including Doctors, clinical staff and Nursery Staff are terrible. I delivered my 2nd child here. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to any soon to be mother or the worst enemy in the world. They do not communicate throughly. They do not read your file, before providing patients with updates. There is a Nursery nurse named Tasha (Black heavy set lady with a new york accent) that wears glasses. She works with babies in the nursery. She needs to be fired immediately. She is ghetto, street and very unprofessional. Stay clear of her. She communicates as though she's a friend and not am employee of Northside. She will make your experience a living HELL. She doesn't need to work with the public or new mothers. There is another worker named Slovakia that is supposed be a Charge nurse in the nursey or Manager that knows NOTHING, gives the wrong information to new mothers, does not listen or help new mothers. She is unprofessional or has NO integrity. The cafeteria food looks like jail food. Food that should be hot is brick cold when delivered to patients, and looks as if it should be fed to a dog. The nutrition staff have bad attitudes and are street. They dont wear uniforms, or name tags and look very unprofessional. This hospital may be called the baby factory, but it should be called the cattle factory. Patients are treated like animals. The hospital is in it for the money ONLY and do not put money back into the hospital to enrich patients experience. The lobby will fool you. It's state of the art, but when you're admitted into the hospital the environment and most of the staff are trash. Alot of the workers are lazy. You have to beg environmental staff to empty trash cans and clean. Cleaning should be routine. They dont clean your room after staying several day. You have to clean it yourself. Their rules are not consistent through the hospital, for example, such as enforcing wearing mask. Some floors require patients to wear mask and some don't. Its a very few good & nice workers, but most workers are there only for their pay check. Good luck if you plan going there. They'll just bill you high amounts and give you trash service!
