NEVER AGAIN
Came in at 12pm and it’s now 12:10am and we just made it to the back and on a bed in the hallway.

Who is running Grady?
Sat in the er for 12 hours, came back up 10 hours later to get my meds and they aren’t ready. A circus? The nurses in the er waiting room are all RUDE and lack compassion and empathy....The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. The sinks don’t work…. I was given a shot antibiotics when I was supposed to get an IV…. (Not the nurses fault) like I could go on and on. I can’t even find the page to file a formal complaint. This hospital is disgusting…. Yall need to do BETTER!!!!!! Never in my life will I ever come here again.

The communication between departments is SORELY lacking
If your family member is a veteran and has been in contact with the VA UPON ADMISSION, BEWARE….the hospital will bill medicare instead of the VA, thus leaving the patient with a large copay they shouldn’t have had to pay. Stay in contact with EVERYONE and ask a lot of questions

This was my first time at Grady Memorial and the experience was horrible!!!
They do not keep you updated with what’s going on with you. No EKG results ! No urine/blood sample results. No real diagnosis as to what the problem was. Literally was a waste of time. I went to the ER AT 2:00 AM and didn’t leave labor and delivery until after 12 PM noon. I had to ask for them to check the heartbeat of my baby to be sure she was still breathing ! They told me I was good to go at 9:00AM. They kept stating they were waiting on discharge paperwork, however it was after 12 noon and me constantly complaining about just laying there on that uncomfortable bed with no updates and everyone just making excuses about why I’m still there

Grady memorial hospital is a real dump
I was in the emergency room for 6 hours. I watched everyone go by and everyone who was there went by. When I arrived, new people arrived and were still going by. I stopped and asked the receptionist if it was my turn to go in. He told me that it would be 10 hours. Plus, it's a filthy hospital and the people who work there are just garbage, garbage, garbage.

I left one star because it's the only way to leave a review
I work in healthcare. I understand being overworked and understaffed but I'm sorry I do not understand how someone that's sick and in pain can be in the ER for 8 hours or more waiting on care, there is NO!!!! excuse for this. My husband was in the er since 2p its and we aren't the only ones. It's people that have been here for 10 hours or longer and some left. WTH!!!! once my husband was seen by the doctor it took a total of 2 hours MRI done, surgery consult done, ate sandwich then released at 6am. RIDICULOUS
