This hospital has been nothing short of a nightmare for my family
The care they have given my dying grandmother has been horrible. They don't check the patients regularly and fail to stay consistent with medications. They even give medication not prescribed to patients any longer as the staff fails to properly check the charts. When we express we would like to have a family member stay with her over night as my grandmother has the capacity of a toddler and doesn't understand where she is at. My mother and her sisters have elderly guardianship over my grandmother as she can't make daily decisions on her medical care on her own . They had my mother escorted out by security saying they would check on her every 2 hours. This treatment is unacceptable on all levels. I spoke with the shift supervisor and she said she would look into the possibility of someone staying and let me know and the only response was an escort from security out of the hospital. No one at any time was being threatening, or raising voices, nor being hostle to the staff in any way. The only reason for removing a family member I can reason is so there are no witnesses to their mistreatment of the patients.

My father was treated about as poorly as one could be
When my father was admitted during Covid, he was treated about as poorly as one could be. As soon as he was admitted, there was a misdiagnosis of a stroke, when it was actually hypercania. The staff treated him as if he was a problem child without understanding his condition. He was in the hospital for nearly 2 months, because supposedly there was no rehabilitation beds available anywhere. Social services immediately tried to push me into using services to keep him out of the assisted living place he came from into more pricey adult homes which we could not afford, nor did he need. The night staff was the worse and because my father was 84 at the time and suffering from hypercapnia and hypoxia they deemed him to have dementia without any proper testing. Finally he went to a local rehabilitation center very poorly rated by Medicare, but it was our only choice at the time. He was actually on the same floor as many of the local prisoners from the state facility nearby. It was just plain horrendous. Unfortunately this seems to be the way many healthcare facilities operate now. Without his daughter as his advocate I shudder to think what else could of happened. Not only does he NOT have dementia, he is now thriving and managing his health conditions so much better than being in the system.

This place is garbage
The supervisor of security is a condescending jerk. Id rather suffer through my seizures than deal with anyone at this hospital. This hospital also killed my father by treating a heart attack as an overdose. Real smart doctors here. Not.

They restrained her after they induced ketamine confusion
Providence hospital used to be the emergency department to use. Unless you have no other option, I don't recommend it any longer. Don't get me wrong, the majority of the doctors and nurses are good at their jobs. But the poor management of the hospital has made being a patient there not a good experience. Nursing staff are a a low level and doctors are way over worked. This means that you don't get the help you need in a timely manner. It seems to be all about documentation rather than patient centered care. It is also becoming a hospital that doesn't like to use opiates for pain control after surgeries. My girlfriend, after a chest to groin incision to fix a few emergent issues was originally given opioids right after surgery. But put on Toradol/ketamine drip for several days. And instead of switching to something that worked for pain control, they restrained her when the ketamine induced confusion and she didn't know where she was. It used to be the premier level 2 trauma center in western Washington. But I would rather go 30 miles south to Harborview or almost any other hospital now.

Truly vile and extremely careless
I was rushed to the ER because of pneumonia. Not much of an urgency here. I sat at the waiting room, and waited for hours, as it was the only hospital near me, and I couldn’t manage to drive myself to another location. They also told me that if i’m not bleeding out, it’s not that urgent. I don’t know if this is the general protocol for all American hospitals, but it’s truly vile, and extremely careless. The next time you catch yourself in an emergency situation, never go to PROVIDENCE!!!

This hospital is our nightmare
No stars should be an option. My fiance came in their with kidney issues and intense vomiting. Absolutely unprofessional. The receptionists have little to no empathy for the people coming in. I watched for several hours as they robotically asked questions and rolled their eyes. They gossiped loudly behind the counters about patients that were leaving and gave you no concern if you came to the counter to ask for help. Got there at 7pm and didn't leave until after 2am. Gave us an IV but left the bag empty and hanging from my fiance for 2 hours without as much as a check up. I watched several families come and go. When I asked about priority since we had been there since 7 I was told by the rn Kelsey that yes their is priority but for the people who are actually dying. Wow I guess they are certified to look at you and determine your level of importance and discomfort! Hospitals are supposed to be a place of comfort. This one is a nightmare. Cleanliness should be addressed for health risks. Blood splatters in the rooms are hazardous to our health. Busy or not...maintain a standard!

I don't recommend people go there
I came there to ER to get my CT scan. The reception so rude to me and the nurse too. I say do you treat people like that. I was thinking inside my head because I'm Asian. I told the nurse what if I go with Kaiser permanente instead you guys. The nurse say to me "Fine then". After that I walk out. I don't recommend people go there. Kaiser Permanente people are way nicer and more friendly.

I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy
On January 28th at 2:10pm my dad passed away at providence hospital in Everett Washington. The night before, January 27th we were informed that he was going into hospice care and were told he had 3 days to a week. The next day, January 28th at 3:10pm we checked into the nurses station and were never informed of his death, we never got a call, or even a warning that he had passed as we were checking in. As I walked into the room I noticed his room was the only door with the door shut, and also noticed he had a tag on his door with flowers on it and I just thought it was because he was in hospice. As I walked inside the room I noticed his roommate was not in there anymore. I went up to my dad so excited to see him. I shook him and said “hi dad it’s Ash!” Then I looked and saw his lips were so yellow and jaundiced. I immediately ran out to the nurses station and said he needs his vitals checked NOW and that something was wrong. They looked at each other and said they would have someone come in. A nurse and Chaplin came in and said “he’s passed we thought you knew” I’ve heard multiple bad stories about this hospital and we were barely communicated with the whole time he was there. I’m a 22 year old girl and this by far was the most traumatic experience I’ve ever been through. I have had nightmares every night since. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy and never want this to happen to another family and that is why I wanted to share my story.

Not had a “decent” experience
400$ for sitting in a chair for less than 5 minutes. Another $390 for the “clinicians” time to ask me 1 question. American healthcare “finest”. Never going back.

Be prepared to wait in the er
No timeliness of care here. No rush to treat pain and suffering. They roll at their sadistic slow pace. Be prepared to spend 10-12 hours in the ER to receive care. Also be prepared to receive a punishing bill from them for the wait. Providence took the Brandon pledge to decarbonize the health care sector. For a start they can clean all farth from their ER and stop sending ppl to collections.
