Do not send your loves ones to Emory Midtown Hospital
My partner went into Emory Midtown Hospital for open heart surgery under the care of Dr. Keeling. Following surgery, he had seizures due to several small strokes that occured because of the surgery and was put on anti-seizure medicine. Because of the complexity of his recovery, he has been hallucinating and in/out of agitated delerium for 9 days now. At night, all night, it is only my presence in his room that keeps him safe. Were I not in the room, he would have ripped out his central line, ripped out his IVs, taken off his oxygen, fallen, and slipped half off his bed a thousand times. One night I asked the charge nurse whose job it was to keep my partner safe and she asked me (sarcastically) when I started caring so much about his safety. She apparently thought I did not care about his safety because I had expressed concerns about his re-intubation earlier in his care. I have talked with the ICU doctors, the cardiac doctors, the neurologists, the nurses, and contacted patient advocacy about his lack of safety and there has been no response. I have been awake for 9 days now. If you have concerns about your loved one, their care and safety, their very life, do not send them to Emory Midtown Hospital.

I will jump out of the ambulance if that is the only option
December 2024 - if it's bad enough security questions mobility, more so as I knew something was wrong, then maybe you shouldn't eject someone because you think they're full of it. You missed the screw dislodged in my ankle requiring surgery. August 2025 - there for Septicemia protocol and I would have refused save my preferred hospital was on deflect. XRay tech popped the blister on my back due to his callous way of moving me. Then your ED staff and physicians complain I didn't wanna be admitted? I will NEVER seek treatment here again

No explaination, no apology. Unacceptable
So upset to have driven 2 hours today with my son, who is recovering from brain surgery for the removal of a malignant tumor, for an appointment for a lumbar puncture. We were told to arrive at 12. Here we sit, over 1-1/2 hours later, still waiting to be called. He is nauseated and dizzy and basically miserable. When I asked at the desk why we were told to be here at noon, the woman stated that they request people come early so they won't be inconvenienced with late arrivals.

Freaking terrible
3/5/25 apparently entire system is down. Instead of advising patients they got us wasting our time, gas & money. Cause still gotta pay for parking even tho no services performed.

Very poor awareness and prioriting of patients needs
My daughter arrived by ambulance. She is pregnant and put in the waiting area like anyone that walked through the door. She was very dehydrated and needed immediate assistance. I was in Texas and she was all alone. I ended up calling for a ED DIRECTOR to get her some attention.

This hospital is EXTREMELY unprofessional
The charge nurse should be fired along with most of the nurses. My sister’s experience here literally gave her ptsd. They also RELEASED her while she was Covid positive and did not state that in her discharge papers. I expected more from Emory. This was by far the worse experience for her. They need to get a lot of things in order here. ASAP

Terrible Postpartum Nursing Care and Lactation Consultants
We recently had a new mother at this hospital, and it was clear that the some staff lacked compassion and understanding for her pain and emotional needs. The lactation consultant was especially unhelpful, repeatedly blaming the mother for the baby’s weight loss instead of offering constructive support. New mothers need care that addresses both their physical recovery and emotional well-being. Unfortunately, some members of staff seemed indifferent to her struggles. Someone needs to teach them how to provide proper support during such a critical time.
