Don’t schedule an appointment here unless u want to keep rescheduling to different facilities my mom who is old had an appointment in April we needed up js a few mins late and they made us reschedule to June and when I got to the facility she said it’s in the other gave us the wrong address and she said that she would contact the facility and let them know which she never did and we had to figure out all the route again when we got there 10 mins late they had already given are appointment to somebody else and she kept telling us that she can’t give us an appointment till September and we were only 10 mins they have huge but no doctors and the doctors are mid to and I felt discriminated cause of my race.

One of the worst hospitals I’ve ever had the misfortune of being in
Save yourself the mountain of medical debt, being poked prodded, scans and infinite worry and go to a reputable hospital. I was there for three days and was told by 4 different doctor that I most likely have cancer all while we did no tests. Can you imagine what it feels like to be told that?! I never saw the same doctor twice and apparently none of them shared their notes. I went in for a completely different reason and left without any answers and infinitely more concerns. This is clown hospital. For the sake of your mental and physical well being DO NOT COME HERE. For those wondering: I DO NOT HAVE CANCER. It took several months and appointments to find this out.

Two thumbs down.
Came in several times within the last few weeks. Complained about constipation issues. They sat me in a room for over 6 hours and failed to have any type of procedure done to elevate the contipation I had been having. Explained to staff the symptoms and they blew the situation over as if it’s normal. Maybe for someone who doesn’t want to TAKE CARE OF THEMSELF. Made apparent they aren’t accustom to a patient who wants and likes to take care of themselves. Provider was rude. Of course. Second visit. They made me sit in the lobby and had staff make an appearance as if I needed there friendship to have my issues addressed. I give this place a 1 star. I don’t need you to be my parent. That your not comparable of. I will be escalting the situation to the medical board.

Possibly one of the worst staffed hospitals
Nothing against the personality or care from each nurse/doctor individually (although some are horrible). I have now been here with my grandma 5 weeks. We’ve traveled to 4 different floors (due to her severe condition/problems arising) and I have never felt as if I can leave the room for more than 3+ hours. I’ve done her daily oral care myself everyday because they lack the time to do it. My sister and I have even cleaned my grandma ourselves because they do not come when the call button is hit, or they will let her sit in feces overnight. She does not receive the PT like she should daily nor speech therapy. It’s so ridiculous and truly sad.

Proceed with extreme caution
If you have chronic illnesses/disabilities I would be weary of Virginia Mason. I have gone here for a few years now and there have been a lot of ups and downs. It's quite clear that the majority of their medical staff don't know what they're talking about, and may put your life in danger. When I have expressed my concerns about issues regarding their clinics or staff, they come at me as if I'm the problem instead of looking into the issue. They label me as this unstable maniac, and have even threatened to discontinue my care over me standing up for myself. I have talked to patient relations many times, and even some supervisors. They recently set it up so that way I can only send one message a day per department, and told me the next time I "cause an issue" they will block me from care at their hospitals completely. They were updating my allergy list recently and both ibuprofen and acetaminophen are supposed to be on it, but only acetaminophen was. When I told the medical assistant this she said, "yeah, that's the acetaminophen". At this point I gave up and didn't bother arguing. The person should have known the difference between these basic OTC meds even if she was not the medical doctor. It's scary to think who they allow to get certified these days. One thing is for sure- they don't care about their patients on a medical level, only customers who keep their negative feedback to themselves. If you are in need of frequent doctors visits due to a chronic condition, I would look at alternative options prior to landing here. I'm only viewed as a problem rather than a patient with feedback they can evaluate and learn from. I recently learned they have a new owner, and I noticed a massive shift with how they treat patients now. I'm attempting to go back to UW clinics soon, but wanted to warn those who are considering VM as an option. It does appear that VM has some obvious malpractice going on within their clinics, and most of the doctors brains appear to be affected by post COVID infections.

Don't make people wait outside
My son went to emergency room with Covid because they told him to. Then he needed a prescription. Although I understand you do not want a covid patient mixing with others expecting him to wait for over 45 minutes outside is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I put him the car with it idling and my husband went in for the prescription. As we are in our 70s also not a good idea. What is wrong with these people!
