Avoid at all cost
Bon Secours continues to rob from the Richmond area. Received a quote for services for $608.91, and then a bill for $1,657.15. Upon calling was told that the hospital's incompetence is somehow my liability. On another case, requested an itemized bill for emergency services, this included three items with no descriptions or breakdown.

The mental health services in this hospital need to be investigated
I wanted help for a relative who was in throes of a mental health crisis. The ER staff were no help at all. They wouldn't admit him to be seen because he was an adult and didnt want to give his ID. Me was clearly in an agitated state and exhibiting violent behavior. The mental health services in this hospital/town are sorely in need to be investigating. This hospital is insufficient and incompetent. The big security guard was only concerned about 'the noise' we were making when loudly asking for some/any type of help. The police came to assist and said if we really need help don't use this facility. Need I say more! Health grade of F.

AVOID AT ALL COST!
Went for a ten minute outpatient ultrasound and a student did the ultrasound. I was told at check in I could pay $1800 cash for the ultrasound (which is crazy) or let it go through insurance but they would would know how much it cost until it processed through the insurance. After my insurance discounted and paid $938 I was left with a bill for $2031!!! OVER $200 more than if I would have just paid out of pocket!! SUCH A SCAM AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!! DO NOT GO TO BON SECOURS FOR ANYTHING!

Absolutely disgusting
This hospital takes advantage of the community it serves, by design. I walked into the ER and received no treatment. I walked out with NOTHING, no treatment no prescription, no referrals. Unexpectedly received a $1466 bill in the mail which was then forwarded to collections. They refused to provide any financial assistance, even though no service was provided and we were in the middle of a pandemic and I was unemployed. These folks rob, steal, and bully low income patients. I'd be ashamed to part of this establishment in any way. Bon Secours is a disgrace to the community it's suppose to serve. I just seen a investigation report by the New York Times on EXACTLY what I said in my review two years ago. Absolutely disgusting. There's a special place for the folks who run this hospital. They have no interest in actually serving the community.
