I just got home from the worst nightmare
They were very understaffed. I went in due to my back pain. I talked with the doctor and she was leaning towards my rotator cuff as the cause of my pain. She had the staff take X-ray and a CT of my rotator cuff area . The CT took six hours for them to take it and get the results back to me. I was at the hospital for a total of eleven hours during which time I wasn’t allowed to eat or drink ( not even water). After the CT I remembered I had a previous injury I had broken my Scapula (shoulder blade) which didn’t heal properly. I talked about this with my doctor. She didn’t ask for the staff to even perform a X-ray on my Scapula. Instead she released me with instructions to see an orthopedic doctor. I used to think Memorial was the best Hospital around. I’ve even had surgery there back in 2012. I want to know what happened to that hospital I remember being the best and now it’s like a third world country hospital???

Did not listen
The ER doctor was not helpful, did not listen and was trying to send me home, but thankfully my daughter stood firm and refused. He admitted me for more testing and sure enough it was serious and I had to have surgery.

Teaching hospital but nobody’s learning
Brought in after having a post surgical seizure when I was administered Percocet. I was put in the hallway of the emergency room department and essentially ignored my needs. Not staffed well enough to support the comfort and well being of patients. Loud night ( nurses and staff did not even try to keep voices down during nonessential chit chat . The place was very light but they wanted you to sleep in those conditions coupled with severe pain. A patient was offered a mask and ear plugs ( not MY nurse) . An ear plug came out t and went under the bed. Not a chance of getting my nurse to give me another. They wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom but no one cared that I sat in a wet depends all night. They definitely want patients to just go to sleep but don’t help with the necessary comfort. I was up All the terrible night.

These doctors and nurses don’t give 1 dam about you here
This hospital has the worst service! Most of the staff members are young and they are rude as hell with nasty attitudes. All they do is sit up in there little stations and talk about their private business, the patients and club adventures. No one has a caring heart or bedside manner and the long wait times are ridiculous! You will die in the lobby waiting to be seen! Dam I wish someone showed some compassion and actually wanted to help you after all this is a freaking hospital and that’s what they are paid to do but it seems all those workers are just here to collect a check and get some hours in on a clock! Definitely not here to help! And the sad thing is no one even cares to do anything about it because everyone is in a click and lies and look out for each other. Shame on the whole ER staff you guys suck! You all should be re-trained and taught compassion and caring skills which majority of the staff here clearly doesn’t have!

Waste of time coming here
I was in the hospital for 8hr for a stomach ache to find out I was pregnant and leave with no discharge papers no medication had all those test done for nothing

The ER is a war zone. Go to the other hospital in town
Awful institution. Apathetic and incompetent. Understaffed unqualified to perform even the simplest procedures.

I will only come back if my goal is to die
Worst experience of my life. I was wheeled in after a car accident and after my CT scans I was left with no medicine, and no fluids, laying there staring at the ceiling for HOURS. IT WAS NO BUSY? every nurse had time to eat and order their take out before they even took the neck brace off 6 hours later. I didn't get any help until after shift change. Also don't mention you don't have insurance, they'll quickly change from surgery to a metal splint that does nothing.

Memorial Health made my first birth experience completely traumatizing!
Had my first child here. Doctors left my baby inside my belly for hours knowing he had his first bowel movement at the beginning of labor. Got an emergency c-section thankfully my baby was okay but ingested a lot of his own feces and had to go to nicu so I couldn’t even hold him after they cut him out of me. This could have turned out extremely bad… Also during labor I had doctors who were rude as could be!!! As if it’s HARD for them to help ME with MY 30 hr labor!!! I had some females ignore me, administer medicine through my epidural without even telling me what they’re putting in me. Not to mention, doctor who does the epidurals, they did it completely wrong and I was only numbed on one side of my body. The pain of the actual epidural was excruciating and almost worse than the actual labor.They messed up my oxygen too, I was blacking out from pushing for so long and my body was giving out, they put the oxygen mask on my face but never turned the oxygen on. My husband had to run over to the wall and turn it on himself! Not to mention i was never sent home with any postpartum stuff for recovery let alone any paperwork for my son at all. Signed papers for his birth certificate, never got it. I had to PAY to order another one. If I could give this hospital -100 stars I would.

Horrible, needed emergency surgery and was left in the hallway for hours!!!!!

The service was terrible
I went to the emergency room with test positive covid. I was not separated from general patients. The wheel chair I used had blood on it and no one would clean it. In general, the service was terrible.
