It was inhumane experience noone deserves for their loved one
DO NOT REMOVE MY REVIEW! The worse experience of our life. Filed many complaints with patient relations and the floor manager. Noone cared. Some of the doctors and most nurses were rude and doing unethical acts. My mom was mentally and physically abused. She cried all night in pain nurses didn't care and did not give her pain medication for hours. My mom was bed bound and needed changing the nurses on purpose handled her roughly. No sympathy for her yelling or crying. Doctors wanted to do invasive procedures which were not necessary. I had to put a stop to them many times. No doctor would call to give an update on my moms condition; even though I left many messages.

I have never had worse patient care at any other hospital facility
Absolutely disgusted with this hospital. I had a family member stay there for a week. Recently had a horrible accident which has left the family member paralyzed, quadriplegic. Not once was this family member turned or re-positioned for a whole week which pushed the progress back, bc they didn't know how to take care of a quadriplegic on the ICU floor and do trach care with the tracheostomy at all (very surprising). So bc they had never had a patient like that before he was neglected. NOW he has a wound on his rear end and now back in the hospital with an infection and wound vac. Thankfully we are at a different hospital

Nurses sat gossiping when our son was in excruciating pain
Nursing staff was horrible they sat and the nurses station gossiping when our son was in excruciating pain after surgery and because we said something to them they accused visitors of looking suspicious and called and had his room searched because the visitors were his brother in law and a friend and our son and his brother in law needed a private conversation so the friend waited in the hallway for 5 minutes! So these nurses said it was suspicious well these nurses sat at the nurses station for over an hour gossiping! Our son is now at Huntley hospital and we found out that they put in his records that I his own Mother brought in pot brownies it says I am so appalled and I believe that what they put in his chart at McHenry is effecting his quality of care! I have not gotten a call back from anyone At McHenry NWM yet and he just had surgery yesterday again because the first surgery went wrong!

Unacceptable treatment of patients
Doctors chasing financial gain versus helping patients with quality work and maintaining a quality moral compass. I am very disappointed in this hospital and don’t feel that my illness or health matter.

THE PEOPLE ARE VERY RUDE DONT WANT TO HELP
Worst place please don’t go here if you care for your loved one. I took my friend to the ER for psych evaluation after being referred to another psychiatrist to get admitted for hallucination. But they released the patient in 1 hour without proper diagnosis, evaluation, checkup, or informing us! Thank god the person came back home safe! This is worst hospital. AND THE PEOPLE ARE VERY RUDE DONT WANT TO HELP. Do not go!!

How US News ranked them so high is beyond my knowledge
My mother has gone to this hospital twice in the last week with high blood pressure, headache, dizziness, chest pain, and neck pain. The first visit showed an abnormal EKG and they left her in the hallway with no help. She told them she was still feeling disoriented and dizzy and they told her she needed to go home. Today, she called her NW cardiologist who told her to go to the ER and a team was waiting to help her. She went to the NW urgent care near her home who told her that she should be seen at the ER due to her symptoms. 5 1/2 hours later and there was no team to take care of her and she is still in the waiting room. I called three times to get some answer and I was put on hold for 15 min the first time, sent to a number that rang for 5 minutes and then sent me to the main switch board and the third time I couldn’t get through. Very disappointed.

This is the worse hospital I have ever visited
I wish I could do less than one star. Waited more than 6 hrs in the lobby to be attended, with a broken feet and surrounded by homeless. Faced 3 fights inside the lobby, homeless and patients. Lack of information about waiting time.

Overrated
4-5 hour waiting line. Super expensive for a casual 10 minute diagnosis. Quite disappointed as i was expecting a highly professional treatment.

I wouldn't send my enemy here
This has been the worst experience of my life, since walking in ER. Spent 11 hrs in a chair even though my transplant team said "get to the ER ASAP” your pancreas numbers are dangerously high, I am rejecting. Sat in a chair while homeless and druggie went before me threatening people's life's and ours. Slept in a hall till I got a waiting room, then finally got a room 2 days later, had a biopsy, they gave me a infusion and I had a life threatening reaction. Thank God my husband and son where there, I felt like I was literally dying., two nights latter they finally get me in for a mri,3and 1/2 hrs mri, I asked for iv Ativan or relaxer, no they messed that up so I freaked out through half. They said we can finish tomorrow now almost 3 days later still waiting for the mri and I am not on schedule. I used to love this place so many years ago, terrible, I wouldn't send my enemy here. They are the ones who lowered my meds so low to nothing and that's why I am rejecting my pancreas now. Then got discharged spent 4 hts in Walgreens because the dr wrote all the wrong prescriptions so I had to wait for him to decide to come down and straighten out his mess. Not to mention, asked to speak to a Pastor, they of course must of been too busy because they never bothered to show. That's ok I didn't need them anyway, worthless.
