I want to express my disappointment with the care I received at Trinity Health
I understand that many variables cause extended wait times in the emergency room. However, I waited over 10 hours and was discharged with no care. The doctor during that shift expressed she was releasing me because there was no infection in my body and there was no need to provide the medical services I was seeking relief from. They told me to call a specialist within the network to perform surgery while I was in excruciating pain. While waiting in the results pending room, I overheard the patient's medical condition; the nurses were discussing and joking about the medical condition. The nurse tending to my care and running my vitals expressed that she did not want to be there and then joked with me about another patient's condition. I'm sure this is a form of HIPPA Violation. Therefore, I went to another hospital that found an infection in my body and was able to perform emergency surgery. While I was in the second hospital after my surgery, a Trinity health specialist called me to say we could schedule your surgery on October 28th. That insulted my intelligence and care, which needed to be addressed when I was at Trinity Health Emergency Room. The level of care I received was deplorable, and I hope the executive administration and ombudsman receive and read this review! I'm writing this review for myself and others as a form of advocacy to address the subpar level of medical care provided for patients. This needs to be discussed because people's lives are at stake, and it was apparent during my visit that the disposition was not at the forefront of medical professionals' minds. Therefore, there must be a massive redirection visit on the daily protocol operations to handle patients with care and professionalism.

Unfortunately my mom died in the hands of trinity health
1 star rating for a reason folks. Unfortunately one the the doctors denied my mom surgery... my mom made every improvement and had two surgeons do their evaluations and gave the greenlight for my mom to go in .. Dr G apparently told them no ... there was an opportunity for her to make it and the doctors quickly closed it ... when I'm asking questions about test results that came back promising he said yeah she's improving but it's still not going to change anything it's like they all gave up and we're irritated ... at first it seemed as tho they all cared ... then once they stopped my mom started declining and died.

I feel a moral obligation to share the horrific experience we had at Trinity
My father had a stroke. We took him to the emergency room here and he was misdiagnosed with a cardiac issue. When his heart stabilized, the physician on the cardiac unit tried to send us home, despite the fact that my father couldn't walk. He had been going on a 30-minute walk, once a day, prior to our visit. I insisted they order an MRI. They took him down for it 6 hours later. The next day, when we arrived, we asked the nurse for the results. When she looked, she told us that the MRI had shown a stroke. When the neurologist arrived 2 hours later, he hadn't read the MRI and acted surprised that we knew my father had had one. Only after he bothered to look at the MRI, did they put my father on the necessary medications that could have prevented further issues 2 days before. While he was on the neurology floor, I happened to be there when they came to take him down for a surgery to install an internal heart monitor that the cardiologist had ordered prior to finding the stroke. The fact that they came to get him in the neurological unit gave them no pause, and, I can only imagine he might have died in surgery at that point. Thank goodness for my background is in healthcare and that I was there to advocate for him. I am saddened that others might have to experience the same ineptitude with no one to look out for them. Please avoid this hospital at all costs and take your loved ones to the University of Michigan.

It's all bad
3rd one star experience in a row at this hospital. If you have an emergency, do not come to this hospital. From ER to diagnostics it's all bad.
