“Additional charge” well above the advertised rate
They advertise “flat rate” for virtual urgent care and then bill me for “additional charge” well above the advertised rate. I cannot believe they get to do this false advertising without getting sued

You can change the name to Lutheran but The service is still bad
If you need to go to NYU don’t ever go to this one. Go to the one in the city and save your self from long waiting and bad treatment.

It's a $hit show
Went for a heart Cath was on time I prechecked in on my chart to save time at hospital and then BAM long story short waited 4 1/2 hrs and still wasn't seen they kept telling me I'm next well next never came and I left. It seems they only care about $$$$ and not the patients or their wellbeing to put it simply it's a meat factory they don't care about you and the worse part I never even Seen the Dr

Lack of communication with each other
I had a tech administer the same test as triage that was not ordered again. A nurse who requested urine from me twice after providing it less than 30 mins of the request. I told her another nurse took the sample, she seemed very confused. During my care they didn’t seem to have much to offer me in terms of possible test and diagnosis to rule out my symptoms. Everyone is concerned about moving fast and not providing efficient and effective treatment to help aid in my concerns. I also had someone with a tablet ask me to fill out paperwork while in the emergency room. I was also moved from one bed to a random corner. I’m very sad and disappointed. I’ve been experiencing symptoms for a while and thought NYU Langone could help provide some clarity.

I will always be against this hospital
They didn’t let the father of my newborn baby stay in the room because of a two visitor policy. They ruined the experience of having a family by treating mg spouse like second class citizen.

Driving profit off patients
Billing department hell. One procedure but multiple bills that have different terms and representation - needlessly confusing. $100k procedure with 95% of it covered by insurance. They refused payment plan for the co pay. Anything we can do to stop hospitals from driving profit off patients we must.

NYUs costumer service has also become one of a 3rd world countries
With their new scheduling system i have not been able to reach my doctors offices directly for days. This is absurd. NYU can afford themselves a better costumer service. They are basically forcing their patients to seek care elsewhere. I am sorry but i am not spending 30 min at time to speak to a 3rd party to reach my doctors office.

NYU Langone Manhattan Tisch Hospital was extremely neglectful
NYU Langone Manhattan Tisch Hospital was extremely neglectful in caring for my elderly, mentally impaired grandmother and ultimately caused her death. I've been to many hospitals in NYC (including Woodhull) and this care has been the worst I've ever encountered. The staff on the 11th floor noninvasive cardiology unit should be fired. We came to the ER for pneumonia and she was admitted to the hospital. They gave her sepsis, cardiogenic shock, started her on heparin IV drip despite history of hematoma, gave her another hematoma which a family member had caught early (doctors said: "good thing you caught that!" -- shouldn't they be catching it?) which spread to private areas and legs. and then she needed another round of antibiotics and a blood transfusion. Results getting worse and constantly pushing off discharge date due to this. 1 nurse named Jessica was taking my grandmother's blood when she received a personal phone call (she said it was a spam call) and left her bleeding down her arm. I approached her and she gave me a cotton pad to press down, didn't follow up to make sure she's okay or help clean. A patient care tech named Peta had to call her multiple times to come help. My grandmother did not speak English. There was a nurse on the unit working the shift while my grandma was in who spoke the same language and not 1 day was she assigned to my grandmother. My grandmother needed to be on 1-to-1 due to her mental status, but instead they put a talking robot monitor in her room. The staff gave her an extreme painful rash on butt from having her sit in her urine and stool without changing. Patient relations did not answer any phone calls over the 2 and a half weeks my grandmother was hospitalized. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! She was discharged unsafely in worse condition than we had brought her and died within a week.

Unethical hospital only focused on money and manipulation
I left reviews at other sites and they were removed. This place say they care about wellness and health but they don't care about helping anyone. Its all a ploy to make money. Deceitful system that lies to the public, to their patients and their loved ones, and even to their nurses who work tirelessly with patients providing direct care while those in "power" take advantage. Shame on the managers and executives - you have no humanity and no heart!

NYU Langone is a Racist place
The absolute worst emergency room I've ever attended and the absolute worst hospital I've attended. The nurses are racist and treat Black patients like trash. The doctors are racist and treat the Black patients as if they have no intelligence!

Is NYU Langone an intolerant place?
A great nurse Hesen Jabr, who is Palestinian American, was fired by this hospital after she referred to Israel’s war in Gaza as a “genocide” during a speech accepting an award. Ironically, Ms Jabr was being honored for her compassion in caring for mothers who had lost babies when she drew a link between her work and the suffering of mothers in Gaza.

l just wish their emergency room was cleaner
Yo, this takes up a massive amount of land in nyc... l mean, as soon as you walk in you can tell this place is very dirty and l just feel bad for the doctors and nurses who have to work in that place day in and day out... something definitely needs to be done.

I must bring to your attention the discomfort and mistreatment I experienced
While I appreciate the medical attention provided during the procedure, I must bring to your attention the discomfort and mistreatment I experienced post-surgery. The bed provided for my recovery had proven to be extremely uncomfortable, and despite my attempts to address this concern, I spent nearly 12 hours enduring unnecessary discomfort. Given my age and medical condition, I expected a higher standard of care and a more compassionate approach to my recovery. It is disheartening to feel neglected during such a vulnerable time.

Muslims and Arabs beware of NYU Langone
This institution is anti-Muslim and anti-Arab. It retains physicians who were discovered promoting racist anti-Arab sentiments on their online platforms including racist tropes, justification of collective punishment (a war crime), and the glorification of violence. Such content with hate filled language and dangerous tropes intentionally aimed to dehumanize Muslims and Arabs coming from physicians is terrifying and unacceptable yet NYU Langone has done nothing to address this. Muslims and Arabs beware of NYU Langone and seek healthcare elsewhere.

Their visitation policy is restrictive
The hospital provides good care for patients, but their visitation policy is restrictive. They only allow two people at a time to visit the patient. Even if the best doctor in the world wants to visit, they won't allow him to see the patient if there are already two people in the room.

So unprofessional and inappropriate
They cancelled a much needed MRI for my son over a message left on my phone. Said needed further authorization. Tried reaching them by phone...only recordings...no live person. Only person I spoke with kept transferring me to the recording. So unprofessional and inappropriate. They should have contacted the doctor's office not the patient. For NYU Langone on this one. His surgery appointment was dependent on this test. When we finally had test done, we needed a copy of the test in a CD form to bring to our Dr. Receptionist did this wrong and our Dr could not read it because the CD was encrypted which delayed his surgery. The receptionist literally was falling asleep at her desk. I knew that this wasn't going to be good.

This wouldn’t be my first choice of hospitals
Terrible ER, do not go here unless you really have to. I was sent here by my PCP and already the moment I got to the registration area I should have just left. The place was packed, it took almost another hour to be brought back and given a chair in the main ER that looked like Penn station at rush hour. There was a lot of chaos and confusion, a physicians assistant came to speak with me briefly and then my nurse came to start an IV on me. I sat there for another 3 hours before an actual doctor came to speak to me, at this point I was still waiting for a CT scan. There was a screaming patient, a violent one and just general anxiety inducing chaos. I chose to discharge myself because in 5 hours I had barely been attended to.

Absolutely a pathetic establishment
Will make you wait 30 plus minutes to check in later in the night even if you have been there before that same day. According to Tisch hospital they have over 300 beds for patients and who need care and they will have you wait til the front desk person comes back from break to let you back in. Pathetic. I just want to see my twins yet Tisch hospital puts up one obstacle after another to have even a mediocre experience here. I would recommend not going to this hospital if you want compassionate and understanding care. I could go on about particular nurses being rude to the point of interrupting people, slamming into your wife’s hospital bed, interrupting exams to yell at you. Absolutely a pathetic establishment full of miscommunication, rude employees, and needless delays to care.

I was not sedated for the procedure. I was in pain.
I had a procedure that was supposed to include sedation. I was NOT sedated. I am filing complaints with the hospital, my insurance and the NYS dept of Health. I have never had such a frightening and unbelievably horrible experience as this and am shocked by it. I never imagined in my life that I would ever experience a procedure that was supposed to be sedated and end up fully alert oriented and IN PAIN. I would not recommend for anyone to go here. I am shocked and overwhelmed that this is a facility, a hospital that is renowned and supposed to ethically treat people?

I do not recommend
This hospital is a factory. There were very few caring individuals during my father’s month long stay here. It is difficult to speak with a provider when you have questions. The social workers and case managers constantly rotated so there was little consistency; none of them advocated for my father. Same for the internists except for maybe two. I constantly had to be on them and had to chase down information as to his progress. The rooms were dirty and I had to regularly wipe down his shared space. My father caught COVID here to top it all off. I do not recommend.

POOR ONLINE INTERFACE WITH PATIENTS
I was "assigned" an appointment by an NYU doctor's office and without my knowledge and consent at when i am unavailable. A week before the appointment I am assaulted by email, text and robo phone confirmations. However it is Impossible to cancel the appointment online or any other means expect by phone during extremely limited business hours by an office that puts everyone on hold. NYU shows an extraordinary lack of respect for its patients, their time and their right to control their own medical care.
