Don't go to this hospital if you are in any pain
My wife has been here since Thursday and has been in constant pain. The lack of communication between all medical personnel is a joke. We are constantly having to go over people's heads to get things done. Things that should come easy, but not here. We will be contacting the AMA next.

I will continue to not recommend this hospital to everyone I know
I gave birth at Corewell Dearborn in April 2024. I recently switched OBGYNs to avoid this hospital due to my traumatic experience, and the lack of accountability from Patient Relations and management. During my stay, I wasn't provided a pillow while laboring for about 20 hours (they couldn't find one). My Foley cervical bulb catheter yanked out because my nurse forgot to tape it down. I complained about being in pain and my epidural not working properly, and my nurse dismissed my concerns. I wasn't given a clean hospital gown (it was stained in blood and amniotic fluid) for my non emergent unplanned C-section. They also did not tell me or give me to take out my contact lenses which caused my eyes to dry-out. The staff was visibly annoyed with me when I was asking questions. The CRNA ended up sedating me without my knowledge which caused me to miss my baby's birth and important postpartum care education (such as using a spirometer). The first night nurse refused to let me feed my baby formula when I asked (she took her away to feed her). When ordering food, the woman on the phone was rude everytime. The food arrived cold and sparce. I wasn't given enough postpartum supplies. The room was filthy (trash overflowing, dirty linens, stains on the walls). When I was being discharged, I asked for a wheelchair. The nurse made it sound like they don't normally give out wheelchairs, so I walked post C-section down the stairs through a parking garage. I am incredibly thankful both myself and my baby safely left this hospital, but I will never forget the lack of compassion, communication, and cleanliness.

ER visit - THEE WORST!
Went to ER for a continuous nosebleed. The staff was very unprofessional. The entire staff showed no concern with the patients. Everyone seemed very nonchalant & too busy talking & laughing with each other. The absolute worst treatment & ER that I've EVER experienced. I wouldn't take my DOGS there!!! They should be investigated. ASAP! Also, they were discussing other patients' personal info out in the open. I'm sure that's a HIPAA violation. Just TERRIBLE!

Discrimination has no place in healthcare
The level of unprofessionalism, disrespect, and lack of care is truly unacceptable. I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital as well. The staff were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, showing little regard for patients concerns. It was nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone, making it difficult to get important information or schedule appointments. Additionally, I noticed behavior that felt discriminatory, which is completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting. This hospital needs serious improvements in both its staff training and overall patient care. I hope management takes action to address these issues. This hospital needs to do better in treating all patients with respect, regardless of their nationality or religion. Every patient deserves equal and professional treatment.

They were very disrespectful
I would not recommend no one to go to the hospital. I am so so sorry for anybody that enters the hospital.

Honestly I felt like I am not in the US it’s horrible experience I had to take my dad to another hospital, don’t go to there if you don’t want to get more sick.

For the love of God, please avoid visiting the ER here
We had a terrible experience at the ER, with my father-in-law. Even though, the decision was to have him monitored at the step down ICU, he spent four hours in the hallway, outside the X-ray room, when a room was ready upstairs for majority of this time. We were constantly given the most implausible of reasons. It was just downright inhumane. Few nurses at the step down ICU were a ray of sunshine though.

Pissed!!!!!
Daughter is in labor. Drive an hour and they have every single waiting room on the maternity floor closed due to remodeling. How stupid are they at planning. I hope the drs are better than the hospital administration. If you can steer clear of this hospital I would. Definitely don’t have their patients and family members as a top priority. I am sitting on a bench in front of the elevators 2 floors down.

Absolute worst birth experience ever (mom of 3
While waiting for them to find a room, staff was ridiculously loud gossiping while women are in labor, once a room was found, they made me walk, yes walk…. While in labor and amniotic fluid leaking, they did not offer a wheelchair and they did not have diapers or even tissue in the bathroom. Once I was in the room that I was going to give birth in, things got a little better but got worse the moment I was transferred to the extremely tiny post birth room. You have to ask for every little thing, (this was not my previous experience at Henry Ford West Bloomfield) nurses did not communicate and every shift, I was greeted by a new nurse that had no idea what was going on. In an attempt to not make this review any longer, I would not recommend. 0 stars.

It is so uncomfortable and disrespectful the way they treat patients and their families as they enter the hospital. From the security team to some of the ER registration team. Patients need to feel comfortable and welcome not interrogated.

Loud derogatory comments verbally abusive
My little brother, age 13 with me being his legal guardian type one diabetic was brought to Dearborn emergency room with a blunt trauma to the head after collapsing and losing consciousness which also caused a dislocated shoulder, upon arrival an ED tech was being very hostile and refusing to accept my brother. Even with the derogatory comments made I asked if she could check his sugar level since he’s type one diabetic and she went off claiming “don’t tell me how to do my job, I know how to do my job ”and became very loud and verbally abusive. I am very disappointed with this facility since it is our local go to. I do not recommend anybody to this facility if they allow this type of behavior, especially from an ED tech that is supposed to be helping in time of dire need.

Don't bring your loved ones here!!!
My father waited for 12 hours in the hallway for a severe abscess in his tonsil after the ambulance transported him. They performed a procedure on him in the middle of the hallway. He went without IV fluids or water for 16 hours. No food for 36 hours (he's diabetic). Abhorrent in every way. I called to get information and the phone rings off the hook.

8 hours wait with a fractured skull and 3 brain bleeds
Absolutely horrible and scary ER experience. My mom was transported via ambulance after a fall only to sit in the waiting room for 8 hours with a fractured skull and 3 brain bleeds. HIPPA? What HIPPA? For hours I sat and listened to people share their ailments in the waiting room where the majority of patients were seen. Hallways were lined with sick people in chairs and beds. It looked like a 3rd world country. Nurses did their best to provide care but were so understaffed. Hospital administrators need to do better!
