I delivered my baby here, and would not recommend
There are lots of hidden fees that add up to quite a bit. That milk that was so graciously donated by mothers for mothers? Costs an arm and a leg, which they of course do not mention. There is also a nursery fee that is astronomical, and I can’t get a straight answer as to what it covers. I’ve been told it was the cost to reserve a room in the nursery, a room I was told did not actually exist; I was told it was the nurses salary, which seems odd as you also pay for every single the the nurse does (you pay for the shot, you pay for them to administer the shot; you pay for the test, you pay for them to take the blood for the test); I was told it was for the bilirubin lights (which my daughter did not receive at this visit) as well as the bassinet. I was told it covered the on-call pediatrician, but should we have to pay for a service we did not need? Surely a good business would only charge you for what you use… If this were to cover room and board for my baby, why is it that I’m already paying for the room in my stay, as well as the milk that was donated by kind-hearted mothers? If this were to cover the diapers and items used, surely it wouldn’t surpass 1,000$, much less 2,400$. I questioned some of these charges and spoke with numerous people, there was an audit, there was a separate investigation, yet every time they say something it does not make sense to my logical brain. This last exchange they were talking to me about something that didn’t even happen during this stay and said that was why I was charged this, however if that was the case my billing was incorrect and the audit and separate investigation did not catch this, so they are not to be trusted in the slightest. When I got my last updated bill, it said my charges were 4.7k, insurance covered 4.1k, and I owed 1.9k… when I asked for the math to be explained on that, they literally could not comprehend what the issue was, as if basic math was a skill lost on the employees here.
