I delivered my baby here, and would not recommend
There are lots of hidden fees that add up to quite a bit. That milk that was so graciously donated by mothers for mothers? Costs an arm and a leg, which they of course do not mention. There is also a nursery fee that is astronomical, and I can’t get a straight answer as to what it covers. I’ve been told it was the cost to reserve a room in the nursery, a room I was told did not actually exist; I was told it was the nurses salary, which seems odd as you also pay for every single the the nurse does (you pay for the shot, you pay for them to administer the shot; you pay for the test, you pay for them to take the blood for the test); I was told it was for the bilirubin lights (which my daughter did not receive at this visit) as well as the bassinet. I was told it covered the on-call pediatrician, but should we have to pay for a service we did not need? Surely a good business would only charge you for what you use… If this were to cover room and board for my baby, why is it that I’m already paying for the room in my stay, as well as the milk that was donated by kind-hearted mothers? If this were to cover the diapers and items used, surely it wouldn’t surpass 1,000$, much less 2,400$. I questioned some of these charges and spoke with numerous people, there was an audit, there was a separate investigation, yet every time they say something it does not make sense to my logical brain. This last exchange they were talking to me about something that didn’t even happen during this stay and said that was why I was charged this, however if that was the case my billing was incorrect and the audit and separate investigation did not catch this, so they are not to be trusted in the slightest. When I got my last updated bill, it said my charges were 4.7k, insurance covered 4.1k, and I owed 1.9k… when I asked for the math to be explained on that, they literally could not comprehend what the issue was, as if basic math was a skill lost on the employees here.

Unacceptable and I'm not done
The ER is the worst. I went by ambulance and sat in that room. Nothing. Press for the nurse. Nothing. 30 min later. Nothing. Pressed again. Nothing. After 3 hours I asked for the girl to come take this out she came in nasty attitude and all. She nastyly said good bye and then had the nerve to threatened me with security to get out.

Billed us several thousand dollars for their negligence
Our newborn ended up in the NICU due to the negligence of our nurse. The doctor and charge nurse both admitted as this to us. The hospital then billed us several thousand dollars for the NICU stay they were responsible for.

They left my 90 year old grandma in horrible condition
I’m so disappointed! No shower or sponge bath for 4 days! Kept rescheduling her nerve block for 4 days! Kept her with high BP and soaking wet for 2 hours. This is after a horrible 15 hour ER stay with no room or attention from the staff as she gasped for air. Be better!!

This is NEGLIGENCE
My 75 year old mom fell in her home on 04/04/24 & hit her head. When the paramedics called me I asked them to take her here. This was a huge mistake. When I got to the ED she was completely herself & coherent. Even with a huge gash on her head. They did an MRI & discovered she broke her neck when she fell. She had surgery 04/05/24. She started acting off during pre-op. On 04/06 I told her nurses in that new billion dollar Justin building that she was not right. My concerns were constantly dismissed & I was told it was the anesthesia. On 04/07 tired of being ignored I demanded a doctor talk with me immediately. He ordered a ton of tests. She was in DKA with a potassium level of 2.2 & had a UTI. None of this was determined prior to her surgery?? Within an hour she was moved to PICU where she stayed for almost a week. It wasn’t until 04/10 that an MRI was done of her brain. That’s when it was discovered she had a stroke. An elderly woman with a serious head injury & initially only a spine MRI. Ridiculous. So stroke care was delayed. Physical therapy has been almost nonexistent. As of yesterday she can’t even sit up in bed without help. She needs help eating & is not getting it unless I am there to do it. She is confused & having cognitive issues but they started asking me what facility I wanted to discharge her to within days of her surgery. They have been calling me for her Medicare copay while she’s still in the hospital. Mom has had several surgeries here over the years here & never received such horrible care as this time. My concerns are ignored. hey are pushing to discharge her. This will be her last visit to a THR facility.

Avoid this place
Wish I could give the ER department less than one star. I was in a bad accident and was treated terribly. The billing rep was incredibly rude. I also couldn’t believe they make you pay for parking when at the ER. I signed paperwork asking them to send over my records to my PCP and it got lost. I didn’t get my own room. I had to sit in a chair out in the hallway listening to doctors talk about a scrotal abscess the guy right next to me had.

Terrible first time mom experience
My daughter had to have an emergency c section at only 34 weeks. Fine with that. But we were not fine with that fact that her son had to go to cooks childrens NICU because they were short staffed, But my daughter had to stay at THR. Why not send them both to a hospital were they could be together so she could breast feed her own child and not have a donor feeder. Also the charge nurse of NICU was very sharp tongue and all of the nurses were telling us different things as far as visiting .On top of that no one could go to cook childrens with my grandson. He had to travel there with no family and only parents can visit the NICU there. The only parent can't walk for 24 hours.
